Really late for work riding as fast as I can ride past some guy on some king of expensive urban "street" looking MTB he decides i must be racing him and stays on my tale all the way to just out side my work where he rides past me and says "I will whip your arse anyday and how shit my bike was" Made me laugh as I was on my beater!

After shouting guidance at a cyclist on a boris bike for riding through a box junction with traffic flowing in both directions, when the lights were red and then watch him ride through another set of reds only to be nearly run over by the a bus for him then to ride on the pavament for around 100 meters.
I then was sat at a set of lights where a girl on a brompton who watched me telling "boris" that he is going to get himself killed decided to tell me off for being a danger on the road and that I need to "chill out" as im stressing everyone out. (Which I could'nt belive what I was hearing as she thought Boris was not doing anything wrong!)
I have taken her advice as I have decided that most people are lost causes and do not want to be told that they might get themselves killed.

This doesnt really make any sense - you are turning across a road - and over another lane of traffic, riders coming down roseberry have right of way, you don't. If you're being cut up its because you are probably rolling out into the middle of the road / not getting going fast enough, which is (if you consider RLJ a heinous crime) just as bad as RLJ, in my opinion.
Sorry thats was worded rather badly, what I meant to say is while I am waiting at that junction for a safe moment from both ways of traffic, the amount of cyclists that push past me to wait in the middle of the road while an HGV hurtles buy them. Im just very close to seeing an accident through someone's impatience, but hey im sure everyone on this thread is.

Absolute shitstorm of knobheads out there this morning. From Angel down Roseberry into Holborn. I just don't get why buying yourself 2 minutes to RLJ when you could get destroyed from either side by the oncoming traffic is a valid idea. I'm not knocking RLJ, but there has to be a conscientious approach to it.....Thats a can of worms which doesn't need to be opened for the 14,000th time though.
I cycle that way everyday I usually firstly get cut up trying to turn right from Arlington Crescent onto Roseberry avenue, next is the Zebra crossing today I was letting someone cross and got undertaken by a bromptom nice!
Then there is the lights at the box junction all the RLJs getting annoyed here as it pretty hard to jump the red but they try and also getting in front of the bus's seems better than sitting behind. After that comes the madness of Theobalds road junction where its a mad scramble to get off.
And I could go on but I will stop here. -
A biker tried to run me off the road by undertaking me when with a bus directly in front when I shouted he told me to F off. Nice guy! I am quite enjoying the mild weather but I'm looking forward to when all the fair weather cyclists F off themselves until next April when they will be pushing to get in front of me at the lights.

I was on the bus today (not because its cold because im going out after work) you get a good view from the top deck of all the stupid cyclists, i saw a couple just ride through red lights without even breaking, i wish i had their superpowers where i could ride through a car or maybe a pedestrian without being hurt or causing anyone esle any damage.

So this morning cycling down roseberry avenue where it meets exmoth market a girl decidesit was better to try and overtake a bus and a lorry by cycling down the wrong side of the road as the lights turned from red to green. Needless to say i stayed well behind the bus lorry and the cyclist. Then as waiting at the lights at the big junction where holborn meets new oxford street and southampton row runs across. The same girl without stopping rides right out into the middle of oncoming traffic and then turned right without stopping, I think it was possibly the most suicidal piece of riding i have ever seen. I think she thought her helmet and reflective strips would give her powers against the oncoming traffic.

There is probably lots on the forum already about this so if someone could point me to the relevant threads then thanks!
If not then I have about 500 odd pounds to spend on a frame fancied getting one built so I can get the colour I want with with a new frame etc etc. Both BLB and 14 offer custon built frames at similar prices.
I have spent money in both shops and do no have a problem with either for the record, I have to say that 14 seemed more enthusastic and I like that there frames are British made.

I bought a Milwaukee Jacket in October expecting it to freeze over like last year. It has been on the tad warm side for this winter. Like Fox i have been wearing it with a thin base layer and the zips undone.
I have to say on the few cold days I have worn it, it has really kept me warm and cycling in a downpour it has kept me nice and dry. I quite like the hood as its stops my head getting wet and keep the rain off my glasses as the Jacket does not look like a cycling Jacket it has been good to wear to the pub if I have cycled there or just around town at Lunch time.
If this winter was anything like the last two I would say its the best jacket ever but I think i will be buying a slightly lighter Jacket next year so I can swap between the two.
