I haven't travelled round India much, but one place I did go is Hampi, I would definitely recommend it.

If you do go there, check out the Mango Tree restaurant. It's a little outside the main village but well worth the trip for the view while your having your lunch.

That would give you a better idea about the adjustments of the seatpost, saddle, stem etc.

Careful with that ^ In theory it's good, but it relies on you making some very precise measurements. It's given me some pretty funny results when I've tried it out*.

*Though quite possibly this is due to my inability to use a ruler.

SAD NEWS PEOPLE

i just found out that on saturday of last week the shop was cleared of all its bits and bobs which included unused 531 frame tubes, drop outs some frames , rims still in their wrapping paper, work stands, display cabinets and loads of other things. most of it would have been taken to the local scrap metal dealers. the clothing, the old rusty hetchings, barries old white track bike - what became of them hopefully not to the same place :-(

This is a f***ing travesty!

I only went there a couple of times but they were incredibly helpful, giving me good advice and in fact talking me out of spending my money with them.

Very sad I won't be able to actually get them to build something for me now.

It's been said many times above, but I don't think that is any reason not to say it again. Well done Teddy and Jacqui for organising the whole shebang and thank you very much to the marshals and everyone else for making it go so smoothly!

I had a lovely time and am already looking forward to next year. I am also finding it very hard to give up the tweed and facial hair, if only every day could be tweed run day.

Think I saw a guy standing around with one of these on Tavistock Square the other day. Couldn't see what it was from a distance but we were near UCL so I guessed it might be some kind of prototype. Sure looked like this though.

Good to know that filling up the battery and the tires doesn't tip the weight over 10 kilos.

There were some very cheap (£3!) Tweed jackets on sale in the CND shop on Holloway Rd yesterday. I got myself a nice (if a little small) grey number.

There were still four or five left after me. Most of them seemed to be quite big and slightly I wasn't too keen on the colours. But there was one nice one which had a large chest size (43ish?) but very short arms. So if you are oddly shaped you might get a bargain.

Bikefix sell a cheap (but actually fairly ok) bar by humpert called the Toulouse.

Not sure if anyone imports them to OZ though. Here is Humpert's page for them.

I've been meaning to get back into yoga for ages now and this looks like an excellent way to start.
