yeah i was well worried about that when i was buying a new sugino BB for it...but went in fine and dandy, which was a mega relief at the time.

err...as for the price....im not sure really. err....make an offer and if its lower than what i vaguely have in mind then ill give you a price? sound fair?

my black raleigh grand prix frame is up for sale. comes with black seatpost (25.4) and a headset, tho the headset does need a locknut. seattube is 63cm...im 5 foot 11 and been riding this bike for a little while, and it is the comfiest fixed bike ive ever ridden.

No dings, no dents, good threads.

120 rear spacing with long horizontal dropouts.

Pretty recently powdercoated, before which all braze-ons were removed.

yeah i know I've got a road frame with horizontal drop outs but i want a new frame anyways and bored of my chain tension needing to be adjusted every day or two.

nah just riding fixed on road but wanna get a frame with track ends

hello....i was wondering if anyone knew where to get a second hand steel track frame for as cheap as possible....(without buying the crapest frame ever) or if anyone is trying to get rid of one?

but it wasnt when i was tightening the bolt it was when doing the track nut up....ahh well. mayb my nuts are too grippy....haha

....i aint got a tennis ball to try that method....but next time i get my hands on one...ill try that one out too! cheers guys.

that 'walking' technique has worked wonders! its tighter than its been in weeks!

if only i had known that last night...it would have saved me a lot of tightening and loosening and a hell of a lotta frustration. cheers dude.

I would like to ask if anyone can help me with my chain tension?!

Im riding a fixed gear conversion with forward facing dropouts...when i loosen the wheel and pull back the rear wheel the tension feels spot on but as i carry on pulling/pushing to try and keep the tension and tighten up the track nuts...and as soon as im done....the chain is as slack as before...ive redone my back wheel about 12 times in past 2 nights and cant get it right. i could get it pretty good before but recently its been pretty bad...

anyone got any suggestions that may help out?....would be muchly appreciated!

wasnt very impressed...good idea but mine didnt help with tension and when tightening track nuts the tensioner at first span around with the nut and after that when i managed to keep it still....it fully distorted and way over bent....also marked my frame even with plastic strip between bolt and frame.

did you get the BB sorted? was it the 68 standard or was it funny?

I just got new head set on my raleigh grand prix, had to get forks rethreaded.

hey...do you know what year its from...cos if its quite old...you may need a funny BB. cos they used a differnet thread to anyone else 26tpi instead of 24....check out sheldon on raleigh

I heard about the differnet threading after i got a new BB for my Raleigh grnad prix...i just bought a 68mm/103mm sugino BB and it went in fine...so depends on year. you might need to ask LBS if ur not sure!
