A 2piece clamp (from an old front derailleur?) and you could get rid of the broken off top.

Rake is 45mm so not totally off i would say. It feels alright with 860mm bars at least.

Check out the Kenda K-Rad. They make a nice humming sound on pavement, roll quite well and they are pretty cheap. I run them on both my cargobikes and never had a flat since i mounted them.

Surly comes with a shim to 31.8mm.

The cages are from Bontrager and are available in this "gorgeous baby blue", frameset and guards are rattlecanned with belton colours. Frame had to be repainted anyway because of the repairs and the silver guards looked totally off so i gave them a quick spray too. Not the most durable finish but good enough for this free frame and parts bin bike.

Went from 46 to 60 and do not regret.

My broken, cut and rewelded Evolverine got some new bars. I will never step back in width again, except for a roadbike maybe.

Look for "Dibond" which is a very durable aluminium/plastic sandwich board that you can easily cut with tools for wood.

Not going anywhere with that sawn off axle...
