Thanks greenbank, so I am pretty slow... Damn! :)
Done the DIY to Brighton through Horsham and Henfield today in 6hrs 5 minutes. It ended up being 114 Km and with a load of hills as I took back roads the all way. However, the country lanes were absolutely stunning.
Is any body going to do the Flitchbikes 100 on the 5/6 or the Stevenage Bike week 115 on the 20/6.
I want to organise a ECE but I don't really fancy doing it by myself. Anybody up for it?

Wow Akin,
admirable and inspiring. Thanks for sharing! Reading other rider's audaxes makes me feel better. Especially when hearing that I am not the only one to suffer with saddles. I recently noticed that my San Marco and my body don't get along after just 6 hours of riding. Going for a Brooks B17 (very) soon.

I haven't even got my first brevet back. Have you?
No, I haven't got any of my March nor April rides quite yet. Apparently it takes a long time for them to get back to you. Which is a shame as I want to claim the FWC and AUK points for my rides previous membership...
That June one looks good. Might be up for that.
Sounds brilliant.. would you be up for the 200 ? You know you want to :) Besides you are on geared :D
Time to get the cheque book out and do another medieval style transaction.
Lol

I don't really keep an eye out for non audax rides
In May I would like to do another 100Km DIY (Oxford/Brighton this time). In June I think I should be ready for this http://www.aukweb.net/cal/calsolo.php?Ride=10-387 as a 100 or 200... These rides should get me a Brevet 500..

Hi all,
Thanks greenBank for your help. I got in touch with Martin and organised the DIY.
Anto, I'd be up for that. Never ridden to Brighton, so it'd be fun. How do you sign up, or do you just have to collect receipts?
Hey Pascalo, sounds good.
However, this saturday I am doing a (100Km) DIY to Canvay Island return.
Early start (7:00 - 8:00 am) + Full english near the sea + back for lunch
What do you recon? If you are interested let me know and I will PM the details.

shit, come down with a cold over night. I'm out for this one. gutted.
Oh, man!
I hope you'll get better soon. The ride was actually gorgeous. I am so surprised how many people were there.
Nice weather, a bit of challenging hills and loads of fields.
Definitely a ride for next year. Perhaps, the 200k ( :) )I rode on 74gi again as my mechanic was closed. However, my knees+ancles are totally fine, I assume I got used to the gear.

I did my first 200 on Saturday as an ECE + Flitchbikes. So far 6 FWC + 6 Championship points. Brevet 500 and 400K left for the 1000k. Of course all on fixed.
I got a bar bag on the second Audax and as you say I don't like the clip-on system. Thinking of selling it for a bag to place on top of the rack. If I didn't have a GPS I probably would have find it more useful for maps and/or route sheets..
I would like to organise a 200 DIY to Cambridge and back to London anyone fancy join me?
