wow that really was impressive - i do get the impression though that cav is a big step up from greipel, and that there are also a few in between them as well, even though this sprint made him look the business.
henderson looked all over the shop, total lack of rhythm, each pedal seemed to sway him so much. And moving from the middle to the left of the road must have lost him speed and probably forth (even though i guess he was trying to get in griepels slipstream - to late by then)

no its definetly not a leader, the brazing has been smoothed off looks almost like steel. a guy at my work said dolan, but i dont know. it might be an independant fabrication thing fuck knows. he works in the fixie shop in soho i think he said
I bought a pair of trousers from him yesterday, the frame is a pro-line with stickers removed.
he's also a nice bloke for what its worth.
as for spotted - angel few days back, rider on red fixed who saw me muck up unclicking from my cleats and fall to the ground. I missed the make after i went splat, but think i got a sympathetic nod to ease my embarrassment.
was the first day of owning them - got used to it now.

Great show, really varied subject matter. LFGSS has def been mentioned a couple of times and one or two forumengers have co-presented. I'm addicted to the 'Best of Cycle Writing' episode where someone reads a passage 'Tomorrow we Ride' by Jean Bobet. Beautiful stuff. Do have the bad habit of forcing it on my non-cycling friends when I'm drunk though
agreed - and as for forcing cycling related chat for/on unsuspecting friends, couldnt stop banging on about my new waterproof sealskinz and time over shoes last night so I'm definitely aboard that sinking ship
Coming up soon apparently. Jack has asked, but Christmas and re-scheduling intervened so it was delayed... but perhaps the end of this month will see it happening.
Of course, all I'm going to do is say "Win!" and that's it. Oh, and UTFS. What else is there to say?
great news. (plug it hard when it happens)
I wondering what his listening figures are? I hope their healthy, I'd love to see it really succeed as a podcast, bit like beats in space or something.

I have just made the switch to nike poggio's + look cleats, had a few hair raising moments getting used to them and wouldnt say im completely there yet.
After a few days use my opinion is that there are things i already love about this way of cycling but a few things im unsure of, id say my current position is that when city riding (ie stop start/traffic lights) there is not as much between being cleated and not being as i expected, both have good and bad points.
but this is opinion after three days and may change, as my gripes at the mo are finding click when restarting at lights and worried about unclipping for sudden stop and at certain odd turnings. All of which i may get used to.
As im in similar position to you just a little further down the line ill send you a pm in a week or two with final verdict.

my friend who works at the British Library told me that four bikes were stolen from the front bike racks today.
this is a bit of a bad spot for stolen bikes, and the same three kids are seen time and again on cctv. but they are really sneaky. anyway, usually only wheels and seatpost/saddles go missing, but today they succeeded in stealing a bike which had 3 locks.
this is because they now have a grinder apparently.just thought i'd post this as i know a few people on here lock up at the library... so be careful
feels like there is not much that can be done when hand tools are involved
exactly where i leave my bike most days, thanks for heads up - did it all happen at night?
thinking about it how quick would a grider go through orange mini kryp and i guess it is a battery powered (grinder) - least the battery wont hold out that long, could you equate how many locks you'd need to beat the battery.
