Good luck with it, I'm anticipating a bit of a mess first time round.
Seen this http://www.bicycledoctor.co.uk/ ?

I'm working on my first ever wheelbuild and I want verification of my calculation.
I'm completely new to this but I have a mate who said he'd show me how to do it once I had all the parts.I'm using spocalc.xls
The hub is a Shimano XT fh-m732 - It's not included in the included database, but I found this: http://www.cyclingforums.com/archive/index.php/t-30280.html
Does that look trustworthy? If so then the measurements are
-45mm L37.5mm R23mmThe rim is a Mavic A319 - diameter 604.5
I popped it all in and the output was left length 292.8 right length 291.3
Does that look right?
Cheers

Hey Elvis, I'm running a bit of a bike campaign at Brighton uni. I've got tool kits to be put in all the halls of residence and as part of promotion I was thinking about running bike maintenance courses at each set of halls using the tools there. Might you be able to run that? It's just an idea and wouldn't be in any rush.

The thread on the drive side of the crank arm for the pedal of my bike is completely shot. It was a stupid mistake by me in the first place, not installing the pedal fully and letting it rip out. Now I have an almost completely stripped thread on my crank.
Is this fixable? Can I redo the thread?
It would be annoying to replace the crank because the chainline is pretty good and i don't want to mess about with it.
Many thanks, Tim
