hey well done for having a try at repairing it Jieun. This is one of the repairs which is very good to learn and once you learn it you will not forget
it seems like after your repair, the "cone" nuts were too tight and the wheel would not spin smoothly.
you have to *loosen *one side again until the wheel spins freely/is loose;
you tighten the cone-nut inwards until it touches the ball bearings
then you make precise adjustments, tightening, until the wheel is ***secure ***but still spins round
now the final step is to make micro adjustments to **tighten **the "lock" nut *against *the "cone" nut to **LOCK **your final adjustment. This part is the most difficult because you have to keep the "cone" nut still (not moving) and then screw the "lock" nut next to it and tighten it well.
this means that you may need 2 spanners/wrenches hold each one and do the job.
- Spin the axle to inspect your work.
Notes: there are **two **nuts on *each *side of the wheel, that is **four **in total. There are two so that they "lock" against each other and dont move.

you can definetly do it yourself..but it is difficult to make it *perfectly smooth *the first time

it sounds like the front wheels "hub" needs to be serviced/cleaned with new grease. you can do it yourself with: tube of teflon grease £3, "cone" spanners £5 , paper towels .
a hub servicing is whe you undo the axle "cones" and clean all the yukky grease away from the ball bearings and surfaces and then put new grease and the ball bearings back inside and tighten them up exactly so that the wheel is smooth and normal again.
i dont understand whats wrong with your gears.. :S
a rear brake line is easy to cut :)

Where did you get the tin-foil tape from? Is it just like a roll of Sellotape but foil? Cheers.
its is like sellotape. used in professional insulations to seal panels together. it is aluminium i think. can be peeled off little bit at a time.
@ed - not gatorskins. my favourites, the armadillos.. "tough but true"

OK, my Langster for sale at £120. Unique paintjob can be removed by me but i wouldn't recommend, as it makes it look worthless/rat. bartape will be re-wrapped before sale. chainwheel 48t wheel has fixed 14t/free16t. has new un54 bb, 2months ; headset ok afaik; wheel bearings greased and packed well. New brakes and pads, imo pads should always be upgraded to ultegra or similar. For £10 i'll throw in a helmet, more foil tape, 16t & 13t cogs, new shiny toe clips, an inner tube and a 1/8" sugino messenger 42t chainring. front tyre will not be armadillo, but specialised mondo, also a good kevlar tyre with better grip than armadillo. edit: sale includes repaired front and rear raceblade mudguards

Is anyone one person short of a full team? you can count on me! Im Paul, have been to a handful of tournaments and can stay on my bike and am damn good in goal. You may remember me from cambridge summer tourney and last UK champs, my team was Doomallets (me)
I have been playing just less than two years. Sadly my team booted* me but i still really want to play polo in Edinburrah! (and will be there regardless)
*not because of my character, just because John H is better than me, unfortunate.
Cheers
