My advice would be to wait untill the 2010 models are in and then get a 2009 for cheaper.
I was thinking about doing that, thing is I'm currently bikeless and just pissing away money every day on public transport.
I did a google for those parts to see if there was much difference, but most of the references I found online were just about the charge plug bikes anyway. -
Was hoping to pick one of these up, checked evans and they only have the '09 model in stock at the moment, rang them and they said the '10 models would be in sometime in december.
Looking at the specs it really doesn't seem to be much between them:

...So i've decided to jump into the world of fixed/ss bikes....
My bike history isn't particularly interesting, started with an old purple Raleigh I won at the age of about 10, after that I had a battered mongoose BMX for years which was finally replaced by a wethepeople pony in 2001(for a bit of flatland fun).
Stopped riding for a good few years.
Then I picked up a good condition 1973 Raleigh twenty 3 speed on a whim, it was great fun for doing short rides on.
NOT A GIRLS BIKE, IT'S UNISEX!Girlfriend loved it more than anything she had ever seen, so she had to have one in red.
1974 twentyBoth of them were surprisingly in good nick considering the ages of them, all dynamo lights working fine etc. Mine has since started to kick the bucket in various ways, spokes breaking leading to wheels getting buckled, gear problems, going to fix it one last time and donate it to a family member I think.
So I have decided to treat myself to a nice new bike, and after reading up and looking at countless models I've decided to go for a fixed/ss bike. I'm not really much of a mechanically minded person (or have much free time at the moment) so i've decided to go with an off the peg Charge Plug Grinder in cream (I have been spoilt with a dry bum from the fenders on the twenty) but I love the look of the seat and bar combination from the standard plug, so probably going to swap out the ones on it for them:
Well thats my quick intro I guess, thought I'd post this message as a sort of hello. Looks like a good online community here, and I hope to join you people on one of the fun looking rides once I've got this here bike in my hands!
bednarz.
p.s .....yes brakes! :)

Old thread I know, but I was looking for a similar bag to fit an old Raleigh Twenty and I came across this:
http://www.freemanscycles.co.uk/product2.asp?product_id=1545&pname=Commuter%20bag
Got one in white, it fit's straight on the rack fine (no plastic rack tray on my twenty though so not sure if it fits in them).
I can't send a private message yet as I'm a new member, hopefully this is of some use to you if your still on the hunt for a bag to match the Raleigh. -

Registered to say thanks for the good info in this thread everyone.
I'm looking to get a plug quite soon and I'm currently leaning towards a small. I'm 5' 8 which from previous posts looks like I'd fall within the small/medium size frame bracket, but as I'm used to riding BMX bikes for most of my life I think I'll probably be more comfortable on the smaller size....
....I hope
Noooooo, not the baby puke green colour!
The cream ones look to be about the same price everywhere, evans spitalfields has one in sml in stock so i might go pick it up tomorrow morning :D
