I don't want to say anything bad about Evans, but I was in there once looking for a fixie skidder bike and was set upon by the staff, they dragged me into the basement where, one by one, they 'sex attacked' me to the music of 'The Black Eye Peas'.
I was then killed and my badly bummed body hidden in the undergrowth outside SAINSBURYS.
Just saying.
Looks like I only got their 'silver star' service then.
Sugarbabes soundtrack and then they left me outside TESCO. -

Bought my Charge Grinder from them over the weekend.
Very helpful shop assistant answered all my dumb questions and had a nice chat about this and that. I wanted the brown charge spoon saddle instead of the black on that comes with the bike so he said it would be cool to just swap them over instead of charging me for the brown one and me ending up with 2 seats. I also wanted some slice bullhorn bars on it, so they took it into the workshop and told me to come back in about 20 mins.Got back and it was all ready to ride, lights put on too, the guy adjusted the seat to have the correct fitting for me, and I rode it out away.
upon getting to London bridge about 10 mins later when I got off it I noticed that the rear fender had a HUGE scratch about 12 inches long down the back, It definitely wasn't there when the bike was on the shop floor and I hadn't had any bumps on the short ride to London bridge (though I should have given it another proper check before i left the shop). Must have happened when they took it into the workshop to put the bars on and adjust the brakes etc.
So I cycled back to the shop and pointed it out to the assistant, he was very apologetic and straight away said they would replace the fender on mine for the other grinders one on the shop floor. 10 mins later I have a nice pristine bike to ride off on.
Really pleased with their customer service, I thought they were going to turn around and say "well we don't know what you have done to the bike once you rode it out of the shop" but there was none of that.
Made me very happy.

On Brockley Grove, there is this single bit in the road that seems to just be there to force cars closer together (they never slow down though as it's still just wide enough for 2 cars) and no gap for bikes to go along the side instead of through the middle.
http://bit.ly/89T77S
(should open google streetview)Almost been clipped by bellends charging through it quite a number of times, I just don't understand for the need of the side bits squeezing the road smaller, it doesn't slow people down any more than just having the humps on the road.
Am I missing it's purpose?

Quorn farts are pretty bad though...
