Well, the guy i bought it from did the spray job (rattle can with at least 168 layers). It has harrison decals on it, however he believes this was from a team run by a shop in cornwall. He has no idea what the frame was before it was restickered, helpfully... So any help would be appreciated. The lugs do seem to be raleigh/carlton, however seem quite ornate.

Ok so here we have a nicely lugged small frame done over with a VERY heavy coat of awful paint. It bears the Harrison logo, apparently it was used as this store's team frame?
There's no frame number at the moment (it could be under the heavy duty paint) the only identifiable features are the ornate lugs and detailing on the forks.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Not going to post any pictures. as i said it is an all black fixed wheel bike of a good quality with a flat handle bar. The person will know exactly what the spec is unless they really have no clue about life or money... they will also know what the size of their frame is!
As far as handling stolen goods is concerned... i am a little worried... hence why if the owner doesnt feel like giving me the £70 i dont feel i can ask for it. I am trying to be as honest and straight as i can and any advice would be welcome! Obviously i would prefer to get the money back but if i have to go down the correct alleys of taking it to the police and waiting to see if anyone claims it i will. If they dont then i have gained a pretty nice bike, if not then maybe the owner will recoup my losses, if not i'll have to live with the loss and be happy that i did the right thing!!!

I asked him some questions, he obviously wasnt the brightest of guys but wasnt going to give out his name and number. I havent reported it yet as one of my mates got his bikes stolen once and the police kept it as evidence for 4 months, so i was trying to see if i could get it back to the owner directly. Obviously if this option doesnt work out i will hand it in to the police.

Hi there,
I was approached today by a guy wanting to sell me a bike with some expensive parts on. He wanted 70 which i gave him. The bike is blatantly stolen and i feel idiotic for even asociating myself with it, however i felt it was better to get it into some more responsible hands. I entirely appreciate the fact that i know noone on this forum, however i will invite you into my house and be entirely honest with you.If anyone has recently had an entirely black fixed wheel bike with a flat bar stolen please send me an exact spec list, including size of centre to centre bb to top tube and c-t-c top tube lengths to identify it as yours. If you want to pay me the £70 you can, however i dont feel like i have earnt my money back :-( . I live in bethnal green, i asked the guy where he had got it from and he said he'd 'bought it off some crack heads down brick lane', so i imagine it was taken in this area.
Please get in touch asap if it is yours and i hope i can return it to its rightful owner.

Has anyone got a pair of cottered cranks that they are willing to part with? I'd prefer a relativly strong pair as Im a bit warey of older cranks having recently cracked some! Im currently building a 1950s period build, so something of this era would be ideal! But any offer is always welcome!
