This was a friend’s bike and unfortunately has been left outside. It was a hand built light weight frame with LX components from the early 1990’s. And was ridden all over the world.
The seat post has siezed in, also the bottom bracket is stuck and some of the chrome has flaked off.
Free to any one who wants to collect it from near the big Tesco’s in Bromley by Bow E3 The headset is not included although I can be purchased for £15.

Claud Butler Steel 531 Frame & Forks 58.5cm 23” £25
A vintage steel Claud Butler frame with long horizontal rear drop outs.
This would make a single speed or fixie as it has long horizontal drop outs. The seat tube is 58.5cm from centre to top and the top tube is 56cm 22” from centre to centre. The forks have a 531 sticker and I’m not sure about the frame. Check out the long pointed lugs.
I’m based near the big Tesco’s in Bromley by Bow

Vintage Alan Shorter 22” 56cm Bike Campag Record
Offered here before elsewhere this beautiful classic lightweight bike made by the renown London frame builder Alan Shorter.
The frame number is 17471 which I think indicates it was the 174th frame built in 1971 and the rear mech is stamped patent 70.
The frame is very light, the seat tube is 22” 56cm from centre to top and the top tube is 22” 56cm from centre to centre. Check out the fastback seat stays.
It comes with Mavic sprints with Campagnolo Record hubs, Campagnolo Record gear levers, front and rear mech, Campagnolo Record seat pin, TA chaainset, 3TTT stem, Weinmann 500 brakes and levers and Campagnolo Record pedals.
For a bike which is 50 years old it is in fantastic condition although there are a few marks.
The legendary Alf Engers used Shorter in the 1970s.
I am looking for £325 and I am based in Bromley by Bow near the big Tesco’s
