Sounds like the steerer is too short. If i understand correctly you switched from threaded to threadless. A solution might be a stem with a shorter "tube to stick the steerer in" as 2 cm isn`t that much too short.

I've never ridden or even seen one in real live. **Its not a bad bike but for that money you could get higher quality ones.** Its all a bit form over function in my eyes. The frame is lugged cro-mo. But the lugs kind of look shit and the angels are quite relaxed so you could just get an old road frame instead. Also it only comes in three sizes so fit might be an issue. All the components are budget ones but not necessarily bad. The crankset and brakes for example are absolutly fine. Ive only heard bad things about the hubs though. The headset looks like a really cheap/bad one, cant tell for sure though. The whole ensemble is quite heavy at 10.4kg without brakes.

could be cxp33. to make sure, take off the tire and check for the internal double eyelets. as far as i know only cxp33 have them. you could also measure higth, width and tirebed width and compare to measurements on the net. alternatively just ride them.

Mavic Open Sport is pretty low for a doubble wall rim, 16mm.

Gebhardt out of cezch republic make very good chainrings. I think their normal program goes up to 57 but they make up to 70 teeth ones on custom order with really fast turn around. I don´t know about availablity in the uk though.

Many low to mid end bikes in Germany come with Schürmann rims. They are cheap and usually shit, heavy and soft.
