Back in the office for a few days a week and spending the rest at home.
With @Soul though, finding the balance between work, WFH and having a life difficult at times. The time of year probably doesn't help mind you.

This means when I need to take my laptop away from my desk it's just one thing to unplug, rather than faffing with a load of different cables.
This is my current goal. Both me and the girlfriend van also use the USB c connection so it makes working at the desk easier for us.
So far I'm leaning towards a usb c doc and a permanently fixed keyboard and mouse at the desk, probably webcam too.
I just need to find a dock that is:
Not too pricey
Can drive 2 monitors (hdmi so nothing too fancy)
Has enough usb ports to take webcam, keyboard, mouse, sometimes headset and scanner.Then I was planning on using some sort of velcro set up to attach the dock to the back of one of the monitors and there's one usb c cable to drive power.

Used the IKEA kitchen fitter for my recent renovation and was glad I did. From fitting hundreds of the things he was well aware of an issues that would arrise and did a fantastic job in a wonky (Victorian) build.
I had two other options;
Fit myself - which if I screwed up I'd be forever looking at it.
Another fitter - chap came out and didn't seem all that bothered. -

In the dining room I'm planning to leave the chimney open and block up just above the opening.
Is there something I should be looking for that's waterproof insulation or will insulation in a bin bag suffice? I was then doing to place battens in the chimney and secure a thin piece of wood to hold it in place.
Or is there something that'll do all that for me?

Holy moly.
Struggled with him big time. Felt like the first difficult (outside of horse back man in the starter area)
Now on the second story boss (guy with all the hands) I feel like this is going to take me a while.
