It's not making any noise when you ride it, you say? Well just ride it and stop turning it upside-down just to listen to it.
You weirdo.
(I know you won't mind me saying that)...
Yeah I do want to get out and ride it but I'm going to do 12 miles on it tomorrow morning and don't want to get half way to work and find out it's f**ked!

You say your chainline 'looks' right, have you measured it? it only needs be out by a couple of mm to contribute to the noise.
otherwise, oil it and give at a few weeks to bed in.Well looking down it it looks fine.
I've measured it as the rear drop outs are 122 half of that is 61, distance from cog to drop out is 21 so 21 from 60 is 39 for rear and front is 40, Pake cranks with 103 BB. That should be fine shouldn't it? Or do I need to get some spacers on the spider?

is your bike on a wooden floor?
Nope carpet in the Garage
Your bike's upside-down. Turn it over and ride it..
Tried that and like I said it sounds fine, no noise!
Oil the chain.
I've put some GR85 (think it's called that) on the chain but noise continues!
too tight.
nextHave loosened it already though and it's still making noise.
-
Right before anyone asks I utfs and couldn't find what I was looking for.
Have just installed new Pake crankset and BB, now when I turn the cranks with the chain on (which is a KMC by the way) is making noise. Thought it might be because it's too tight so I loosened it and it's still noisy. Not sure whether this is normal but when I ride it the bike is silent, no chain noise what so ever.
My chainline when looking down the cogs also looks almost perfect. So i'm stumped!
I've attached a few pictures below to see if anyone can see anything completely wrong, as this is my first fixed conversion
Would ideal need a quick answer as I want to get to work on it tomorrow and not sure if it's safe to ride!!
Thanks guys,

heres a solution (simple?) to the constant problem and danger for cyclists:
lights are red for all vehicular traffic but 10 seconds before the lights go green for that traffic, a cyclists 'green light' appears to allow cyclists to travel off before any of the vehicles are allowed to. This would eliminate the danger posed by both setting off at the same time as the cyclist would be long gone before the bus/lorry/car starts moving.
Simple enough wouldnt you agree?, im surprised it hasnt been seriously debated.
Bloody good idea that mate.

My mid(?)-80s pug is a road frame ("Carbolite"; nothing particularly special). BB is English threaded. I fitted a 68mm BB cartridge. The 103mm Tange one from Velosolo in fact:
http://www.velosolo.co.uk/shopchain.html
(5 or 6 items up from the bottom)Cheers mate ordered that one, now got a couple of bottom brackets to try out.
-
So I've measured up my BB and ready to order another one, I was just about to order when looked on the wiggle site and saw that they recommend 73mm shell width for Mountain bikes. I was pretty sure that I measured up my BB as 73mm, I know that it's english threaded but perhaps I was measuring it wrong, over the ends of the shell cups? As wiggle says 68mm usually fit road bikes.
Could anyone please advise what shell width they use on their pugs?

Outdoors Magic have deleted Mr Stubb's defence of his son.
Yeah I couldn't find it this morning.
This still makes me sick reading this, The worst part was the holding onto the windscreen wipers, how the fuck could he not see him there, could you really sleep at night knowing that someone had killed your loved one and only got 2 years. Once again just shows how really shit our criminal/justice system really is.

Right guys,
Measured all my crap up tonight.Front chainline is 54mm and Rear chain line is 49mm. These are as accurate as I could get with a tape measure, my current BB is 121.5 so am I correct in thinking that if I buy a BB which is 6mm shorter 3 on each end then my life will be good with an (almost) perfect chainline. Either that or i'm missing something really stupid!

I was in central london several months ago on the way to one of the onedotzero nights at southbank and whilst stuck in a traffic jam (you know- when you're completely locked in and can't wriggle out) I ended up with a police car on one side and the pavement on the other.."Balls" I think "no jumping on the pavement for me" after we've been sitting there for 5 minutes (literally) not being able to move the policeman rolls down the window and hits me with "What are you doing? Why don't you just get on the pavement and cut accross?"
In shock, I reply "Um.. well... it's ILLLEGAL isn't it?", the policeman laughs and says (I kid you not) "YEAH, like that matters"Fucking hell - what's the bet if you'd have gone up on the curb he would have (or his friend) got out and gave you some trouble.

I think it's called "Ghillie (or Ghillies) in the mist". But I believe that requires you to get one shot kills with a sniper rifle...?
Airport is cool! I like that map.
Yeah thats the one, thing is though most snipers do give you a one shot kill. Theres also that perk which gives more bullet damage I think, works really well with snipers, I ran round with the acog scope on a sniper using it as a close quaters gun and wasn't really that bad. God bless the xbox for when the weathers crap and I can't go out cycling.

It's pretty much the this

with a re-spray. Awesome impulse purchase.
Yeah lovely looking bike, that BB looks really nice as well.

Yes, that's the one. I don't know, I just dislike it.
And I suck when I have to play the snowy maps. Seems like my old eyes can't see the soldiers clad in white.
When you get so many head shots - you unlock a challange thing called 'something' in the mist. Which gives you better camoflage when sniping. I unlocked it the other day.
Best level is by far the airport, was playing last night 4 of us all with sheilds battering the shit out of anyone in the plane was laughing my head off!
I've got some toe clips/straps on the way, my route is mostly flat and i've got brakes so assume things will be ok.
More of a grindy noise to be honest, but when I ride it there is no noise which is why i'm suspect to be honest!
