just tell him since he's not good at building bicycle (if it that what you're saying), he'll end up spending a lots of money getting the bike shop to put it together for him.
tried that, i even worked it out for him!
think about it £165 frame + £70 wheels + £40 cranks + £35 for bar stem and post, £20 for brake callipers + £10 for levers + £25 for a pair of tyres + £20 chain and cog £10 for grips + £30 for assembly including bb facing, headset facing, Grease and cables = £425

right need some advice / words of discouragement, my (bicycley challenged) friend is considering buying that £95 visp joby of teabay to build up as a ss, rather than buy something along the lines of an SE Draft or a 2nd hand charge or similar, can anyone say something that i can send to him to talk him out of it please?

That's very pretty - not too sure about the purple, the badger wheels, the crank finishing way after the pedal thread, the over usage of knogs, the bar angle and the fact its a fuji though - guess I'm a bit old-fashioned like that - am just about to send away a '69 Hetchins fixed for resto - think I'll post a before and aft pic - it's gonna be awesome ay?
fixed™ and Texas Steel, maybe a that was a post for current porkjets? -

What rims are they on hobo's bike?
EDIT: Plus HOLY SHIZZLE, HOW WIDE ARE THOSE BARS!
Just sayin....Haven't chopped the bars yet as I don't have a large amount of dense traffic to contend with on my commute so i've left them at 680mm bullhorns are 40s so they look a little more sensible but I'm waiting for a shim to come through to fit them, (hence not fitted in the picture)
