It is with huge regret that I offer this for sale :(
Eighth-inch Scrambler frame and fork in original lacquered raw finish. 53cm. Couple of chips and such to the lacquer, nothing serious. Some discolouration coming through the lacquer where the tubes are welded, particularly around the BB and the rear brake bridge. Again, nothing serious.
Cranks are also 1/8th inch, 48-spline, raw finish.
Chainring is Profile splinedrive, 42t, black.
This transmission is totally bombproof.
Euro BB
Wheels are handbuilt. Black Shimano disc hubs, laced 36 spokes to Black Alex rims, no braking surface, never seen a brake, 700c. Sprocket is Velosolo bolt-on cog (Guaranteed for life). Schwalbe 700x32c tyres. (Might even throw in a spare pair if the price is right)
Saddle is SDG F-Style, seatpost is generic black micro-adjust fella.
BMX stem and Gusset Open Prison bars.
Chain-tugs, clear bmx pedals, Restrap straps. What more can I say. It's a hard as nails FGFS bike that's just been used as an urban get-you-round-town bike. I'm no trickster so I think It's awesome in every way and I love it to bits. Sadly it's just not getting used as much as it deserves 'cos I've got too many bikes.

Bike is in Newcastle and can be viewed there but willing to post at cost.
Sorry for cross-posting as it's also in the FGFS section....

No offence meant, I'm pretty sure none was taken.
You have entered forum life at the deep end and have taken to it very well. Keep treading water, pretty soon you'll be doing lengths (fnar, fnar. Lube optional).Keep practicing mounting tyres. Get someone with experience of a good technique to show you how. Someone local is bound to be along soon.

Word of warning though children. Cycle-speedway is as dangerous as it looks. I'm currently nursing a slightly dislocated shoulder with a sprinkle of ligament damage thrown in for good measure. Among the other recent injuries within the club are a fractured/dislocated thumb or two, broken collar-bones and some broken ribs.

Many of you will have seen it at the many fixed-gear gatherings around Toon. Some of you have ridden it. You know the score, it's fuckin' hardcore. ;)

Tell it how it is, I reckon.
Besides, it's not like the tester to hold back ;)It's always possible that cauchi8 just caught me on a bad night when my patience for this kind of nonsense is at a particularly low point, but people who know me say that I'm always like this and that I'm just a curmudgeonly old cunt....
Sometimes I think that 99% of questions in 'mechanics & fixin' deserve the response 'you are indeed an idiot', but then again, I'm just an idiot.

Hello all. My first post. A question: I have Ofmega high flange hubs on Ambrosio Extra Rims. They are a nightmare to fit a modern tyre onto. Is it a good idea to replace the old rims with something modern? Thanks
If your rims are 700c (622mm) which I believe they are, then HTFU and learn how to fit tyres properly. Yes, some tyre/rim combinations can be a bit of a bitch but, generally, you should be able to fit tyres to rims without using tyre levers. If you are trying to fit 700c tyres to older 27x1-1/4 (630mm) rims then you are indeed an idiot.
Hope that helps and sorry if I've misjudged you.....

Nice one john .. Weather is supposed to be particularly evil ... Great news for Vale ... and if i was Mr Honda i'd be getting the checkbook out and showing him around Stoners bike
Looks like patchy rain over the Silverstone area on Saturday and a chance of clearer on Sunday* (maybe!)*. Who knows? Should add up to an exciting weekend, either way!
Ha, ha, would be a major losing of face for Hondasan to sign Vale again, methinks. They have long memories.
