When you say 'tighter fit', do you mean more around the circumference of the rim, or actually on the inside of the rim wall, as I believed rim tape on the rim wall could hinder achieving a good seal? I admit I've only taped one rim myself in 6 years of being tubeless.

Hey, I tried to set mine up on my Brompton on some Velocity A23's (which are supposedly tubeless ready) and no joy. Was yours a ghetto conversion?

Can vouch for these people. We got left high and dry with 36hrs to go by our previous choice of 'movers' (glorified men with ven), and these were great. Not the cheapest, but similar to @Mr_Smyth's experience, nothing was too much of a problem. They stepped in and save our asses from certain penalty fees.

This is a nice Cinelli Columbus bike for the money. £475 is pretty good, imho.

Yes, it's a common trait. I think once they go down the road of not believing any 'MSM' (hate that phrase), they just cherry-pick what they want to believe. I've had two friends of 30+ years block me digitally and irl for taking them to task on what they believe to be 'real'. Could ruminate for a long time on how we got to this stage, but that's for another thread. My sympathies to you anyway.

I opted for the Medium, but it was at the very edge of fitting me (59cm), so it's a snug fit. In a perfect world I'd have tried one on IRL to make sure, but I took a punt and it's ok. My Catlike was a Large, but I always felt I could have gone for a Medium there. It's probably worth trying one on if possible (and getting the shop to price match if it's more expensive). But yes, the hole and general design of the Catlike (RIP), to me, was what set it apart from the others. Shame it's gone, for now.

I did a bit of research and ultimately I think the company went under, got bought, then went under again, hence no-one has any stock. In the end I bought a POC Omne Air Resistance MIPS from Wiggle who had them in a sale (£70!), so gave it a go. Very comfortable and light, and lots of ventilation. I took off the peak as I wear a cap under mine, but so far very happy with the feel.
