Hi all,
I've decided to part with my Batavus Professional frameset. I bought it from the forum a couple of months ago (here's the original thread http://www.londonfgss.com/thread31814.html) to build up, but around the same time I also bought a 1950s Macleans frame. If I had the money I would build up both frames but, alas, I do not. The Macleans frame is a more comfortable size for me so I've decided to keep that and sell this Batavus.
The frame is from the early-mid 70s, handmade in Holland. Rivaled the Gazelle Champion Mondial in its day.
Features:
- Reynolds 531 tubing
- Campagnolo rear drop outs
- chrome fork and rear
- Seat tube 61cm c-t
- 120mm rear spacing
- NB don't think the front forks are original
The frame is structurally perfect and has no dents etc, however, there are chips to the paintwork and rust spots under the paint particularly on the toptube and downtube. It is still a very nice looking frame though and I think would look great built up as is.
Just asking what I paid for it, £75, which includes UK postage.
I accept paypal, cheque, postal order, or cash on collection (I'm in Brighton). - Reynolds 531 tubing

I'll buy the batavus for £75. Zieleman, I'm a newbie so I can't send you a pm, email at pbrobins7@aol.com to sort out payment. Thanks
Hi all,
I've reluctantly decide to part with my early 80s Detto Pietro bike. The frame is very high quality and very rare. I've found it difficult to find out online which Italian frame builder made these frames for Detto, but what I do know is that it's made from Columbus MS (multi-shape) Gilco tubing, has a Cinelli BB shell and Campag drop-outs. It has DP 'pantographed' all over the place - headtube, forks, BB shell, all lugs etc. Paint is excellent - hardly a mark or scratch anywhere, and the bike is built up with decent components. Very light and nice to ride.
Frame size
Seat tube: 61cm (c-c)
Top tube: 58cm (c-c)
Components
Chainset: Campagnolo Chorus
Pedals & Clips, Chainrings, Shifters, Derailleurs: all Campagnolo
Hubs: Ofmega, with Campagnolo QR skewers
Rims: Mavic
Brakeset: Modolo
Stem: 3TTT, pantographed Detto Pietro
Bars: Ambrosio 13 Volte Campione Del Mondo
Saddle: Selle Italia limited edition Fausto Coppi
Price is £340
I'm in Brighton and would much prefer pick up on this - or I can meet anyone coming from London half way at Gatwick. But I'm happy to post if necessary.
Thanks,
Paul
