Another question please! Travelling for a bit of MTB riding in Tignes, France. Flying into Geneva airport, from where last year I was shuttled relatively smoothly with a group of riders. My current trip was planned last minute and I did not realize private shuttles Geneve -> Tignes would cost as much as I was quoted (starting from 600 eur round trip). I'm considering taking trains from Geneva to closest station, which is Bourg St Maurice.
Anyway, here's the question. Would anyone know from experience or care to make an assumption for trains TER 96642 Geneve -> Chambéry and TER 883133 Chambéry -> Bourg St Maurice, on a Wednesday afternoon, if I were to travel with a bike bag (evoc travel bag), would there be a lot of passengers on the train and would I create a lot of inconvenience with said bag? It's significantly larger than usual suitcases. Also, would I need a separate luggage ticket for bike travel bag?
Thanks in advance for any knowledge or speculation shared! -
