Oh... and another thing, **there is no such thing as 753R - the R means it has been resprayed **and that the Reynolds identification decals are not the ones that originally shipped with the tubeset.
Incorrect !
753R was 753** R**ace tubing
I've a Raleigh SBDU frame in 753R tubing.

Hi All,
For my elderly 753 SBDU frame, I've a choice of four pairs of wheels; nothing, I'm sorry to say, as good as what most of you guys will have fitted.
I'm finding very difficult to decide which wheels to choose, so I'd appreciate comments as to suitability; I've a pair of Mavic Open 4CDs - black rims in very good condition, I've a pair of Wolber Profil A - black rims in very good condition, a pair of silver Mavic Open Sport (new) and a pair of silver Mavic Open Pros - which are brand new. I'm discounting the Mavic Open Sports, since I assume the Open Pros are better. In fact, I'm leaning towards the Open Pros - but the Wolbers seem very light.
Cheers for any advice; the trouble with hoarding so much stuff, is that it makes it difficult (for me, at any rate) to make a decision on what to fit.

- complete with springs and straddle wire, I've lost one of the cable hangers since I took the pics (doh!) - easy to find though.

In my eyes, that bike's a beauty. Full of character !
Thank god I live in Shropshire and not London . . . or I'd be hopping on a tube to get it.
