Of course your're right Dutch Cheese, but every who's into track cycling knows that they're worth 10 times that. You know your're not going to get a barain with a wheelset like that (unless the seller doesn't know what he's selling, but looking at his other auctions, thats not the case, however the text which goes with the ad's are a bit clumsy)

mavic wheels, could be a bargain

Yo Tjeu!! this is becoming a nice little Dutch thread.
And i also think you Gazelle is real Tjeu, it has all the characteristics of a 70's Gazelle track bike (double fork crown, wrap-around seatstays, Campy trackends and drops. Do you have a Roto BB shell by the way??) And about the serial number, both my Gazelle trackbikes are stamped with only a number and no "Gazelle", which i find strange. I also noticed that the numbering is somewhat different than Gazelle's roadbikes. Is there anyone who has some info about Gazelle and serialnumbers? I't quite hard to find online.. -

ha my absolute lack of being able to translate is oh so obvious! its not dutch is it? i seem to be able to muddle my way through markplaats descriptions much easier than their belgian counterparts
Haha, it's dutch, but than in a Belgian way.. they have other words for diffrent components.. Sometimes i also can't understand them!

The Rossin Ad is gone now, so, perhaps it's too late now.
But to answer the question: no, there's no buyer protection.
You could ask other forumengers from Eindhoven (Shame, Djee-Djee), to have a look. Otherwise, you've to be pretty sure of your case. That would be no problem at all.. i live in Eindhoven and if you want to know if the guys legit, i can always go and pay him a visit.. Let me know!
