So, I am shocked to discover this wear pattern.
Each tooth seems to wear quite differently.
The sprocket is an EAI steel sprocket, 3/32 17t, while the chain is a Wippermann BMX 1R8 Single Speed 1/8. The chainring is a Blackspire 45T 3/32".
The whole drive chain is just a bit over a year old @ ~30mile per week. To be fair it feels sluggish all along. But isnt it still wearing a bit too fast? -
i saw it was someone in yellow but didnt realise it was that serious. wish him (i believe) get well very soon. shxt way to end a fabulous day.
on a separate note, doing intermediate for the first time i certainly realise my trackcraft and speed need improving. and a bike that fits (as opposed to one that is hired) and is a must. next week~

Thanks Ed. However the bulge is *between *the casing and the rubber. Now removed from the wheel its still here, so afraid its gonna rub crazy if i use them again.
The cause is still a mystery. It happened overnight out of nowhere! :(Tyre boot I reckon will be your best chance, it advised only as a temporary solution for a worn tyres, says a cut, but I think it'll be more than useful to keep the bulges down.

just dipped it a notch. trying to be visible to motorists esp. HGV drivers who sit high up without dazzling other cyclists.
Hah! it was you actually! to be fair it wasn't your fault, and I almost crashed into the back of a veedubs after riding too close to you in Brighton trying to get away from the sheer number of idiots taking their cages.
That's why I like the Smart Lunar R1 light I had (not the one on my bike), it have a group mode, i.e. dimmed so it won't blinded people from behind.

My 2 years old Bontrager Racelite Hardcase has developed a tumor.
After inflating the tyres the night before the Brighton ride, in the morning I was shocked to find 2 bulges on the tread, the larger one ~3mm in height.
Where the bulges are aint particularly worn, and the casing seems intact on the inside. The bulges are soft while the tyre was still fully inflated. Took a photo of it after I took the tyre off, so it was sticking out 3 times as much.
Anyone come across things like this?! Any chance to fix that?

Also bought the Astrum from Wittons 14.91 including postage.
Its BRIGHT.
And why didnt anyone (incl. the product description) mention the 2 different lenses on the 2 LED's? the one with clear lens is more focused for distant visibility, and the one with a diffuser gives it a wider angle close-up. Ingenious and elegant idea IMO.The RSP Astrum is nearly impossible to turn on by accident. The (very stiff) button is between the two lights, and it needs a very firm push to turn on. Its also one of the very best rear lights available.

Anyone bought from this site (www.cheapcyclingjersey.com)?
Their pro team jerseys are suspiciously cheap, like USD25 for a SS jersey etc, but the website is decent enough.
Items are posted from China. It claims to be OEM blahblahblah, but an online review says the materials, though of high quality, is different from that of his other (authentic) jersey of the same team.
As its unmissalbe at the Google Product search, just wanna see if anyone has any previous experience with this site. Any info is much appreciated~ -
