i'm going somewhere snowy for 6 months so need something leather / waterproof..
was thinking about going for either of these:
what do people reckon - brown or black?
they're £105, which i'm struggling a bit to shell out for a pair of vans.. anyone have any other suggestions for a nice leather trainer?
I'd say those are a good shout. 'Specially the brown ones

Hey,
Myself and a few friends are going on a bit of a road trip to somewhere in France in February to skate and cycle by day and party by night. The plan is still in its embryonic stages and at the moment and just wondering whether anybody has done something similar and can offer a decent route or two?
Bear in mind: 5 Poor students, 3 bikes and a week's worth of clothes and shit in a 1.4 VW Polo, so no mountainous terrain to traverse please and thank you.

To be honest slacking a bit at Hills is fine as long as you're smart enough to sort it out. I slacked a lot and I'm paying for it now; got a shitload of retakes in January as well as some A2 modules.
I'm pretty sure Long has a much higher dropout rate, though. I guess people just get bored doing nothing at college and decide they'd rather do nothing at home instead.
I think probably on balance people who go to Long enjoy it more than people who go to Hills, but it is a completely different environment and some people strive at one and would do shite at the other. Just don't get sucked into the Hills>Long>CRC shit because it's bollocks. To be honest I hate Hills because almost all my friends are in the year above and have all left so I'm bored. Lessons and teachers on the whole are good, though, and the workload isn't unbearable if you manage to keep up with it.
Wherever you go you'll probably have a good time, assuming you've got mates who are there and stuff. Just go to the open days and get a feel for both. Just wherever you go do some work for AS. It's proper shit having loads to do this year.
Anyway, /essay.
PS. I do both English Language and Sociology and they're probably my two favourite subjects. Although out of 3 I guess that doesn't say all that much.
See, this is the problem: I don't think I can be arsed.
I know that if I slack a bit at Hills I will fall far behind and do poorly overall.
Whereas if I slack a bit at Long, I can still get decent grades without much work.
Of course, if I put in the effort I could probably do better at Hills but umm... UNLIKELYI'm waiting to go to the open evenings before narrowing down subjects, but I know I will have a look at:
[]Maths
[]Sociology
[]Tourism/Travel
[]English Language
[]Psychology
[]Geography
[*]Business
I will almost definitely do maths wherever I go.Sorry everyone, this is branching off into an unrelated conversation.

I am not sure which I will put 1st on my application thing yet. Still got a couple of months.
I think I could get into Hills but I'm not sure if I really want to go there.
Do you go to either atm?I'm in U6 at Hills. All depends on your work ethic to be honest. Most people do really well but it's hard work and I've pretty much failed cos I can't be arsed.
Which subjects are you looking at?

Same kinda thing as these: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread31334.html

Got this one from here a few weeks ago. Got some nice old Campagnolo and Cinelli bits which need a clean up. Can't decide on saddle and tape colour though. Any ideas?
