I read this thread yesterday and Scooby's comments made me wish I'd taken a first aid course at work, just in case I ever found myself in a similar situation.

Probably not the thread to discuss, but everyone should take a basic life support course if at all possible - vital to have people on the scene who can help out in these horrible situations until ambulance can arrive - really can save lives if people have a small amount of training.

Jim - great to hear that you're getting there - all the best for the rest of your recovery!
