too true and sound advice but I had been kind of caught out through a mixture of not paying due attention and being being cut up coming out of a roundabout, that and the guy who swung his door open was parked (in a fucking smart car) tucked just in front of a lorry out of sight. horrible mix of things and since then just been a bit para about toevolution.

Just got back on the road after having to sort out a new track bike and almost came a cropper turning sharply to miss someones door. My toes when in the cages overlap the front wheel by an inch, making any kind of sharp manouvre a bit of a pain in the arse (not too mention potentialy very dangerous) can any one recommend what I can do about this. I have thought about straps instead of old school clips but not sure just how much that would help as my foot is in the most effective position when fully in the clips. Or A 650c front to eliminate this but then worried how much this would mess with the geometry and or pedal strike would then be a problem due to the lowering of the bottom bracket. The frame is an 80s peugot track.
Hope someone can suggest something better than chopping of my toes!

On my commute this morning my seat post decided to detach itself from the bottom bracket on my lovely TT frame that I had set as fixed, needless to say its now useless and I had a 6 mile walk into work from there as no Fucker would let me on a train at that time in the morning. I am gutted, the frame and build although second hand, I had tweaked to perfection for my size and style of riding. I have now stripped all the good stuff off redundant frame and urgently need a replacement.
The frame was a reynolds 531 tt frame 48 ctc st / 53ctc tt. It was originally a time trial frame but there was just enough room for manouver in the semi vertical drops to used fixed. Although small for me I am 5"9, i had the saddle right up on a long seat post and it pretty much worked well as a lo-pro.
I am looking for something similiar in size or an actual lo-pro preferably in 531 and maybe even proper track ends although not essential. I just need the frame as i have everything else.
I hope someone can suggest something.
