OK I'll admit... I picked up that 20% code and bought the headphones. For the turbo. What a twat. Anyway, they are more tolerable than any others I've tried - I'm really irritable on the turbo (mega promuter watts is serious business) and get pissed off with everything around me - earphones/headphones usually get thrown on the sofa in anger early on. These stay on without noticeable clamping, my ears didn't fill with sweat, they're light and the inline remote is just about chunky enough to use. It's nice to have only one cable, though none would be better. They sound pretty good (yeah...on a par with real hi-fi headphones half the price) and block out the noise of the Kickr. Feel a bit of a tool for buying them but they do the job well and didn't get consigned to the sofa.

Awful ride home last night in wet - I like riding in the rain but people doing fucking stupid things, riding too close at speed, too much traffic... ugh. Today had to take the train, but came straight back, grabbed bike and did three laps of Richmond Park. PR. 10/10 would swap commute for proper session again.

It can be fucking freezing on Apline descents even in July. The rain jacket is perfect for that - completely blocks the wind and obviously it's waterproof. The wind jacket is more packable but not enough if it's 5C and you're descending for an hour. It's also useless in the rain if you're not pedalling.
Recommend:
- Taking everything - cycle clothing is light and on day two you don't want to think I wish I took my softshell/lightweight jersey/gilet/etc.
- Long finger summer gloves (e.g. the Assos ones).
- Unless it's really hot, yes wear arm warmers.
- Big bidons if you're unsupported.
- If it's pretty warm or you aren't going really high, you could get away with arm warmers and gilet - much more packable.

Pro Team softshell is weird. Tight cuffs. Stretchy.
This looks very similar but cheaper...
