So...
Hi
We are moored in Islington for the summer but the fridge on the boat doesn't work (well it does work but not for long cos the batteries are a bit tired...
Can anyone help me out by freezing 3 or 4 Ice blocks (I can provide) on a regular basis over the summer Can possibly repay with a boat trip depending on Olympic restrictions or beer or coffee onboard....
Thanks

Hi
We are moored in Islington for the summer but need to bring our Tandem down by car - train won't carry tandems :-( and would like somewhere to park the car during the day on Sat and poss Sunday so my wife doesn't have to race off straight away...
Can anyone help - driveway or use of a visitors parking permit? Can possibly repay with a boat trip depending on Olympic restrictions...

Someone once said to me that boats are like weddings when it comes to money...
So sir, I hear you want some flowers, they start at £15
Yes that's right, they're for my wedding.
Oh, I see, wedding flowers, no problem they start at £60....And with boats..
So sir, I hear you you need to buy a new, alternator/boiler/regulator/bulb/stove/cooker etc... they start at £x
Yes that's right, it's for my narrowboat..
Oh, I see, a boat alternator/boiler/regulator/bulb/stove/cooker etc..., no
problem they start at £4xAll good fun....

My wife is currently riding an old holdsworth mite bike, all original including the drop bars and standard weinman leavers.
She is strugging a little on the towpath with constant changing of hand position to brake and was asking about the old 'suicide' brakes she had on her silhouette when she was a teenager.
So should I pick up and fit a set of those or will she die horribly in a canal based accident if I do?
Or can I get a set of cross leavers for the bars that let the original levers stay or.....
Thanks
Gareth
