Now that it's been sold, can you tell me how you cleaned it up?
What did you use? Metal polish?
I need some chrome cleaning tips.

What is it that you are trying to find out about the frame? Where this frame came from the people don't even have names.
I should add that I like the bike and it dates from about my youth, spent in the place where it was made. If I can make you hate it enough I will buy it from you.
Just when people ask what bike I have, all I can say is that it's a Carlton. I'd just like to have a frame model to go with that but it doesn't really matter.
Here it is with the chain tension and bars sorted.
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/ae162/ant7ran/IMG_2190.jpgI'm just looking for new wheels now because the current ones are running tubs and the front one has a slow puncture :(
As I'm just riding on the streets I think it'd be a good idea to change to clincher rims. -

@Magic
Move the rear wheel further back in the drop-outs if you can, if not you might need to take a link out to get better chain tension.Saddle looks a little low and the bars are wonky, other than that looks really nice. Looks like a Claud Butler but can't get on flickr at the moment to check out the details.
Thanks,
I've sorted out the chain tension now (i think) how tight should it feel?
The bottom of the bars now run parallel to the top tube.
The seat has been raised a small amount but I feel that it is the correct riding position for me. -
Hi guys,
I just got my first fixie today!
I've been looking to get one for a few month now, ever since my friend at uni showed me his Specialized Langster. I planned on saving some money over summer and getting new a pre-built rig but I wasn't so successful at the money saving part... hehe
Today, out of sheer luck (the story is pretty good but too long for a first post), I managed to get my hands on this bike for £100.
Here's a pic:
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/ae162/ant7ran/IMG_2179.jpgCan anyone help me ID the frame? I've not had that much luck on google.
Here's some more pics of the details:

Personally I love it! It's very strange to ride and I've not really gotten used to it yet.
Any riding tips you can provide me with?I look forward to joining this community!
I paid £100.
I do plan on upgrading/updating parts but as a student, I'm pretty skint.
