Thank you. It really is a lovely thing. And I'll be sad when it goes. That said, I do need to sell it, so the lfgss price would be £3,200. I think any lower than that and I'll find a way of keeping it.
There are cheaper monkeys for sale but I think the rare colour scheme, Yoshi low age/mileage and remainder of the service plan make mine worth the extra. -

Completely agree. But it looks good and more critically it does ensure any drivers not paying attention for small hard to see motorcycles have no excuse for not knowing you're there.
I wouldn't have changed out the stock exhaust personally, but it probably did make me buy this bike second hand vs the other stock second hand bikes available at the same price.

It's not my preference either. It looks OK on the standard paint jobs as it adds a bit of interest. I think the tartan harks back to the original monkeys.
But on this bike the tartan is certainly overkill with the custom paint. I actually wanted a 2022 model in blue but this came up with a full system Yoshimura, a service plan included and a good price, so snapped it up. Picked it up last weekend with only 125 miles on the clock. Which I doubled in the first 3 days.
Really enjoying it and it's the perfect foil for my big(ger) bike. Did my first foray off road tonight.
Just need to find a black seat now...

@Ramsaye good suggestion, thanks. Unfortunately my insurer (Hastings Direct) don't appear to have any such useful info on their site. I've rang them many times and so far haven't found a single person who seems to know the first thing about bikes. I guess they're car biased seeing as that will be massive lion's share of their business will be 4 wheeled based.
Thanks @Constable_Savage That was exactly my concern. Hastings Direct seem to be making really heavy weather of understanding what basic bike accessories are and how to categorise them, but I'll persist as I don't want to be in a situation where they have any wiggle room.

Weird question maybe, but what's the general thinking about informing the insurance company if you add things like frame sliders and axle sliders, ie protection, to your bike? Do they need to know about this stuff, or perhaps the real question is, would they worm out of a claim if these were fitted and they weren't informed? What do you all do?
Thanks. -

Well "we" didn't, you and I. But I hear you. Ever the optimist, I thought that the reality of brexit and the sheer lunacy of the last parliament would have been enough to educate all but the hardest of thinking. Clearly I underestimated just how ignorant most people are to what and who is responsible for all the pain this country has suffered.

I've had a hunch for a while that LDs will be much closer to the tory number of seats than expected, with a slight hope that LDs edge it and become the opposition. That would be the dream scenario obviously. I think even within their core and previously loyal tory voters that the disillusionment is much deeper than the polls suggest. I really hope so.
However I see the flip side to that scenario being Reform hoovering up much of that disillusionment and gaining around 5 seats.
No scientific basis for this and it flies against the polls I've seen, but this is the place for predictions and that's mine.
These are my 3 wishes for the election in order of priority but also decreasing order of probability.
Tories lose election.
Tories pushed to third.
Tom Tugboat loses his seat. My MP and I'm fed up with people saying he's a good tory. He isn't. There's no such thing.
Yeah, a lovely gent local ish to me came and saw it in the flesh. Understandably he wanted to view it before committing. I'd barely opened the garage and he was thrusting a cash deposit in my hand! He could tell right away that it was mint and just wanted it.
Delighted it's going to proper motorbike enthusiast. He's well into his 70s and has been riding over 60 years! He's returning tomorrow with a friend with a van to collect it. Bitter/sweet for me as I've loved riding it, but I'm delighted with my Thruxton which wouldn't have been possible without selling the monkey.
