Wondered if anyone could help me identify my old track frame, I bought it about 5 years ago it didn't come with original paint and i just got it powder coated at the time.
Stupidly i didn't check for any only decals under the crap paint before it was stripped. When i bought it i was told it was a 50's British track frame, with Nevorex Lugs, it has a English BB and the seat post is 22.2 i think.
The only identiflying marks is it has 5765 stamped on the BB shell and fork.
Any help identifying it would be awesome..
After a bit more digging it seems likely my frame is a late F. H. Carpenter 'Olympic Pursuit', just waiting on confirming the year to see if it was made in London by the man himself or by Swindon Cycles.
But it has the double plate fork crown, came to me originally with a Stronglite Competition headset and shares identical features to the model described here.http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/carpenter-gill7l.jpg

^It looks quite similar to mine, so I'm pretty sure thats a mid 50's Carlton Flyer. Check the track ends for serial numbers as the Carlton's ones are normally there
Thanks, although I cant find a serial number on the drop outs, although the powder coat is so think its difficult to tell. I shall do some more digging

Brown San Marco Saddle
Rear wheel is a white deep v with a LX hub, Armadillo tire

It had half clips on the pedals
White and black Dia Comp Gold Finger leaver and Campag Front brake caliper
Black Stem, Seat post and Headset, Purple half link chain. The frame is really distinct and really the only thing i care about here, PLEASE PLEASE Help me get it back, there can't be more than one frame like it.

Ok, try this, find a bolt that fits the threads of your BB, but has a head small enough for the washer to fit over it, screw this in to the bb, then fit the crank puller as normal but with the smallest cap fitted. that way it should pull the crank arm and washer off over the bolt without mashing the bb threads.
What Crank puller do you have?? -

I have the same problem, I'm missing the compression plate from an 1R stem if anyone has one?
