I had my bike stolen yesterday and I was just about to start cycling to work.. My journey is 4 and a bit miles each way so I just need a reliable bike to replace the one I just lost.
I was riding a charge plug freestyler size small, I'm 5'7, female. Has anyone got a bike for sale for around £100-£200, possibly a bit more depending on what you are offering. I'm not too fussed on colour/age etc at this point, just want to avoid having to get the tube to work, I would prefer a flip flop hub as I plan to move on to fixed in the near future.
I live in East, work in Islington and could meet up after work one day. I really want to get cycling asap and forget about how stupid I was not to insure my other bike!
Thanks.

They were locked to a tall lapost with signs on it, would have been impossible to lift them off, one lock through post and frames, other through the wheels, my partner locked them and knows how to be secure about it. There were no signs of the locks so they must have cut through them and taken them with them.. so angry.

Ok so I am a long time lurker first time poster..
Today my partner's and my bikes both got stolen, they were locked up securely with 2 abus £80 D locks.. so angry! I let my partners friend borrow my bike, they were locked next to a cafe on the regents canal whilst my partner and friend had a coffee. Mine is a 2009 dark red charge plug freestyler with green rims, looks the same as OTP except I changed the saddle to a specialised body geo one. The other bike was a xs grey fuji feather, no changes from new. My partner went straight to London fields to see if they were being sold there with no luck.
It sucks as I'd only yesterday practiced my route to work and I was going to start cycling tomorrow! I can't post in the classifieds section as I'm still in the nursery but if anyone has a cheap beater (ss not fixed) that I could buy for around £100 I would be very interested. I'm not fussed as long as it gets me from A-B I'm a girl and 5'7, my charge was a size small.
@GA2G, I never locked the bikes but they were locked with two Abus Granite 54 locks through frames and railings.. normally a chain would be involved too. I have read through the thread you recommend and it is defintely useful, I will be more careful about where I lock the new one and needless to say no one will be borrowing it haha!
