I want to try snow cycling some day. ...
Ha! this is fun, as long as you don't mind going sideways down a hill ..at speed. Plus don't bother with brakes as they'll just collect snow and make your bike heavier - fixed gear is best. Plus needed also are covers over your spokes so your wheels dont turn into (heavy) discs of snow.. in my experience anyway..
its pretty popular in NZ (where i'm originally from), there are special bike days on some of the ski fields with races, jumps etc... good fun

Unforeseen circumstances require me to sell on this Pinarello Paris pista frame, which I only just bought from th'bay.
Its nice'n' shiny and light as a feather. It would date from around 2001-2003. Has good tight clearances with 700c wheels
Thought I'd offer it up to the nice peeps here on this forum before sending it back to ebay.
Vitals (sorry I can't be more specific..):
Seat-tube ~53/54cm CTT
Top bar ~53-54cm CTCAluminium construction
Dura Ace Headset/BBAlso comes with Cinelli Del mondo 66-44 bars + stem and Campagnolo 27.2 seatpost
It has a small dent on the top tube which is cosmetic in nature only (see picture, by the last 'O' of 'Pinarello'). There are also a couple of scratches on the paint.
I paid £210 for this from ebay so that's what I'm offering it for. Will donate 10% of this sale to the forum.
Pick up from east London only please. More than happy to entertain anyone willing to scope out the frame pending sale.
**Frame £195 sold to spagettihoops **
Cinelli bars/stem £15 sold to wingedangel

they're for upto 700x30 I'd say..

Hi everyone, managed to break one of my pedals this morning, damn thing snapped in half. The MKS branded thing had only done about 1000-1200km around town over the last 4 months or so...(how long are pedals supposed to last?)
Anyway so now I need some new pedals, after something a bit nicer, see the attached pictures for a guide - not too fussed on the particular model but I definitely want ones that are in good condition with toeclip mounts, more "aero" shape ... Campag would be nice..
Does anyone have any of these lying around that they could sell me, or know of anywhere I can pick them up in London?
ps sorry about these crap pics, i pinched them off google.
Nice pedal suggestions welcome too

shit. that is horrible. my thoughts go out..
that section of road is very fast... with weird a lane merge then split again at the next lights...
This morning the same section of road cordoned off by police, but I didn't see anything much as I was on the other side of the road. But there was a bike propped on the gutter ... looked like a white mountain bike (may well have been a police one)

I rode past this just after it happened at about 8.45am on my usual daily commute. As soon as I saw the police motorbike with lights on blocking the traffic I felt sick! Its horrible seeing a rider down.
The traffic along the embankment has been crazy this week. With the lines of traffic backed up at all the intersections people get a bit crazy changing lanes and motorbikes & cyclists tend to weave through the stationary traffic a bit haphazardly.. I got knocked off by a moped yesterday morning at the Westminster end of the embankment but luckily it resulted in nothing worse than a scrape on my leg!
