*- lose the helmet
- lose the reflective vest (if used)
- lose the CatEye lights and reflectors
- grow hair longish,
- buy some plaid shirts and clothes circa 1950/60 (Joanie / Archie Cunnignham)
- Oversized wayfarers
- Get some unfeasibly worn out vintage brogues
[I]Just going back to the above, I've been discussin*g this kind of hick-billy chic with a few people, trying to work out where the hell it comes from, and why its a fixie-favourite?
you could add- foppish 80s wedgie type hairdo
- lambswool cardigan
- trucker type baseball cap with overgrown beard for a young man
- plimsolls as alternative to brogue
etc etc.
is it a new york thing? or some band- pardon my ignorance!?

there was a big article on him in singletrack magazine, issue 50,
might be able to find in on their web- www.singletrackworld.com
he was going on about how he's got into riding trials brakeless, ie not even fixed. 'everything pointing down is acceleration and everything pointing up is deceleration'...
