Uh-Oh. Planned engineering works between Haywards Heath and Brighton on that Sunday. This means a bus to Haywards then train onwards. I'm not sure if we'll be able to take bikes...
edit: I just looked and the train companies are under no-obligation to provide space for bikes and furthermore it says this on the National Rail site - "Engineering work may affect train services. Non-folding bicycles are not allowed on rail replacement bus services at any time. Folding bicycles are accepted if fully folded."
So that's us fucked for Sunday travel.

The fixie haunt in Brighton seems to be the Fiddler's Elbow on Boyces Street, a little lane off West Street. There's a big long fence outside where you can lock quite a few bikes, that's probably got something to do with it. It is an Irish pub too, so that's Guinness (and good local ales) locked-in.

We're a friendly lot in Brighton and as Rising knows us Btown polo boys are on here regular-like and are also truing wheels with frightening regularity then I put forward the case that this was, in fact, a good place to ask this question.
That's just my tuppence ha'penny worth though.
Look how much DB space we're taking up debating the point. Isn't life funny like that?

I'm not sure how we'll top last night's spur-of-the-moment epic session. One thing that will help is everyone please bringing the mallets along with them as our mad dash away from the carpark last night left them in various hands.
The ability to play a game is directly related to how many mallets we have, capeche?

There we go, managed it. Only with a massive hint, I add. Lovely blokes there, they gave me one of your cards Robin :) One thought I was against the clock as I was out of breath from stonking it along the top of Hove Lawns moments earlier.
Sorry for the faux vintage pic. Us hipsters with our fangled iDevices eh?

Owlix & Captainkaos - Please do come along on either Thurs or Sun, we are a very welcoming lot and it would be awesome to have new players :) Watch the board here as I will usually put a "yay or nay" type post up 1hr or so before starting out.
JonoMarshall - We are a pretty loose group (calm down) at the moment and we often struggle for 6 to play a game. I have heard that polo pretty much died over the 09/10 winter here due to lack of venue but the boys and I are making our darn'dest attempt to keep it alive this year. Thermals and mittens will be donned before long I expect. We fielded one team at the open, you must have seen us get mullered ;) but there was a great atmosphere and it spurred us on. We will be putting in a showing at BFF and would welcome any forum to discuss the advancement of a national association.
We love polo we do!
