Cor! just looked at the weather forcast for thursday night and it looks good (both Met Office and Metcheck). Is the ride starting at Brick Lane polo ct? and if so, which end of Brick Lane is it?

apparently December CM is going ahead on christmas day. Anyone staying out from 9am all the way rheough to 7pm CM start? (I'm not volunteering - just wondering) Don't think it'll be a big turn out for CM

about 8.30 this morning, riding through the deluge in front of me. A red single-speed going over Wandsworth bridge southbound. I thought I was the only idiot to be out in the hailstorm at such an un-godley hour on a Sunday morning!

I've just read some of last years threads and can see it's a contentious issue, but what time are you thinking of rolling? I'm in if it's fairly early and may persuade another to troll along.

wow! I'm sure I'm not the only one to see someone (usually in a BMW or an SUV) driving like a complete wanker and thinking why can't they get what they deserve - where's the justice? Just occasionally you get to see 'the justice' though it isn't always what you'd wish on them - I recall a wreckless idiot nearly running my dad off an alpine pass, it was an hour later after our lunch we saw a crane hoisting the car out of a deep revine!

i have schwalbe blizzard sports front and back and they have held up to more than 3 skids and cost £10 a tyre. i don't skid that much tho, front brake innit. and ripped cartilege in knee (obtained when i bmxed, and thus contributed to my stopping riding bmx, as standing up all the time was really painful)

Have to agree with your tyre choice, I've been using these for about three years now and 'cos they're discontinued they keep getting cheaper! Think the last were £15 a pair. I've heard the new version (can't remember what they're called) aren't as good though.

I had a very annoying "crunk" which I could feel through the pedals a few months ago, took me ages to find out it was loose crank bolts! Always worth looking at.

Anyone know where a train back arrives? Don't think my knees would get me both ways.

To anyone not sure about riding fixed, I've done a hilly charity ride to Hove several times on my fix without too much effort and I'm a bit of an old shuffler.

Got no text overlap etc.(on Mac) Great new layout, v-easy navigation, big improvement. Excellent!

Wow! my first forum ride (apart from the bridges) and it was a fantastic day. Big big thanks to MA3K for all the work he put in, and an even bigger thanks to Pajamas for "saving my life" or should that be saving my arse! A memorable ride and really great company.

Hey, any room for a couple more bikes? New to the forum, what sort of speed are we talking about? Wouldn't want to hold everyone up if the pace is too brisk. Also, can we take bikes on the train back?
