as I said a couple of times, I've driven past the mill hill observatory ever since I was a little boy (a very long time ago) and I've always wanted to see inside. I was like a kid with a new toy - couldn't stop smiling ;-]
.
thanks Nic for your brilliant route leading, interesting little info speaches and super explanations.
.
now I've rekindled my astronomy interests from my youth and I want to buy a telescope.
.
by tha way, was the route vaguely following the shape of the Plough? -

out I think. a week of cold means I'm out of breath just going upstairs :/
You still have about 16 days to recover
Would like to do this but only have gears...
sign the "LFGSS I promise not to change gear" form
I'm out, tattoo appointment has been moved to the day before and I'd rather not risk it.
tattoo idea - a skidder struggling up Ditchling?

I've done this 5 or more times brakeless both in wet and dry, around 70gi and it was fine for me, that said I don't want to say you'll be fine because then if feel bad if you got hurt.
As others have said only you can tell if you're up to it.I'm sure there will be other brakeless riders.
... not that you've ever had a spill

disappointing weather- even if it was exactly as forecast.
my last posting (above) was actually sent while still tucked up in bed, so there's no way I'd have got to Hyde Park in 45mins
now bored. just painted a wall that needed doing in the house and actually looking round to see if there's anything else needs doing... so bored
... where's that glue?

It's the Ace hotel on Shoreditch High St. Thanks for coming in today guys, great to see all your lovely faces! What a glorious morning too! Glad to be able to caffeinate everyone, sorry for the wait on beers!
yeah nice coffee. I managed two double espressos (and a couple of cheeky snifters from my hip flask) which did the trick nicely!
