Hi There,
What a coincidence, I was just going to list these on the testers forum.
These are the ideal items you are looking for !
I bought them new about 15 years ago, never used them then put them on a bike last year only to find they did not index properly with a SRAM 9 speed mech, took them off and put them back in the box.
Some more pictures are here :

Why bother with a compromise solution when you can have these sent to you next day special delivery for £40
PM me if interested.

It's true that they do look a wee bit over priced but once have you factored in the £80+ worth of tyres if you go for putting a pair of 23mm Conti Supersonics with supersonic tubes and rim tapes on the wheels I think it looks like a good dealt £310 as they are in very good condition.
Any way its only an invitation to see if they are what you would like.

** FOR SALE ** Mavic Ellipse Track Wheels
I bought these new in 2009 from Surosa Cycles in Manchester and they have had light use on the track and on rollers only. Never been out in the wet or the dark nor had a brake used on them. They run true with only very minor scuffs from light use.
Some pictures are here :
http://picasaweb.google.com/trackkitforsale/ForSaleMavicEllipseWheels#
As the sales blurb says: Undoubtedly one of the best pre-built wheels on the market. The Ellipse is smooth as silk and on the street will feel as rigid as a high end road wheelset. They are also suprisingly strong, easily taking the weight of curb pops. Sexy, great value & smooth. Buying these is a good move!
£ 275 or £ 310 with your choice of new Continental tyres, tubes and tapes.
I can deliver in Central Scotland or probably Manchester at no extra cost.
Drop me a PM if interested. There is a review of them here :
