Sounds about right, Dura Ace / Campag cogs are fairly stiff going on to the new goldtec hubs but I had to use some EAI ones this afternoon on a new hub and I initially thought they were the wrong thread, but they went on straight and ran true so they must be like that.
Not sure I would like to take them on and off regularly though ...

Frame was built to take tubular tyres so 700c wheels will fit just fine.
The pictures show it with 19mm Conti Tempo's on the wheels :

I am reluctantly selling my Dave Yates Classique Piste Track Frame in Reynolds 531c Tubing
Sizes are : 58cm centre to centre top tube, 58cm centre to centre seat tube.
The Classique Piste is a traditional track racing frame.
This frame is in very good condition in the original deep purple metallic colour with Dave Yates decals.
Built to the highest standards of craftsmanship, with the horizontal top tube and lugged construction.
It has Campagnolo track ends, integrated allan key seat binder and has a standard British threaded bottom bracket.
This frame is built with Reynolds 531c tubing. This produces a very lively frame without any harshness in the ride quality.
It has minimal clearances and is spaced for 120mm rear and 100mm front hubs.
Not drilled for brakes .
Finished in a very deep purple that looks almost black in the photographs.
You can see some more detailed pictures here :

I wonder if you might be better spacing the hub with a 1mm washer on the axle side rather that putting one behind the sprocket. Taking two turns of the hub thread out of the sprocket does make it a bit more prone to stripping.
Just a thought as I have two stripped hubs here that have been "spaced" to get the right chain line.

There is some thing about the older leather shoes that is missing from the new composite ones, I have looked out an old pair of my racing shoes and they are so comfortable compared to the velcro clip type ones.
You can see them here :
