Escaped convicts, sure, but the only colony NOT originally set up as a penal colony...
Anyhow, besides the point- I'm just down to ride or grill or have a beer or two or get shown local treasures or whatever- I've already ridden myself (with a little help from conservative_values as it so happened, thanks again dude) to brik lane and back so whatever anyone wants to do I'm sure it can be done- just let us know when y'all are free and we'll try to suss something...

I would argue that your post is more ginger than mine, but frankly, I don't discriminate. Is it more to the red end of the spectrum? Yes? Wonderful.
Also, I keep noticing that the Asian girls posted on this thread a) are the same girls over and over again b) have bikes with all the subtly and nuance of napalm. Seriously, every bike is VILE.
READ: I am an old style Englishman who thinks subdued style is proper, likes girls with red hair and thinks all Asians look alike.
Sorry dude, I don't know you but that's just how it comes off...

As a point of interest, in the Sunday time article featured in the thread "get off your bike" there's a response on the linked webpage from a police officer saying as a cyclist himself, he has realised that strictly obeying the road rules on a bike is not always the safest option, and henceforth has stated that so long as a cyclist is not directly endangering anybody, he would not issue any fines or make any arrests against cyclist disobeying road rules... I thought that was a great dose of realism out of the police force, which often times is known for carrying out the letter of the law with no regard to it's original intent. Check it out

Yeah so they look a bit geeky- where I live they're the law so no-one thinks twice, and to be honest since I've been here i've had an ingrained paranoia about going too far or fast without one... It just seems like protecting your skull's a good idea- i'd feel like a right idiot if I cracked my head open coz I was too cool to wear a helmet, and trust me I'm a pretty vain individual...
