Who the hell gets 3 punctures in 3 hours?....
Ooh, I did 2 in about 15 mins on GSIAD last year before we'd even got to the first pub (but not before the first Marstons Pedigree). Ended up with officially the slowest pit stop ever in TFG as the delightful Good Matt took about an hour to cut a piece of rim tape. Still, got the Soma Everwear at a good price.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend folks. I've added to my injury count by fucking my lower back up surfing last week, so I'll be in a drug induced delirium for most of my waking hours. Saying that, I doubt I'll be the only one.

S2 has been delivered :) Any tips I should know for the phone? My last 2 phones have been htc.
Root it immediately with CF root and then choose one of the stable ICS roms to flash. That's what I did within hours of owning mine. Your battery life will be improved and you won't have that godawful T Mobile jingle anymore.
Other than that, and I never thought I'd say this about a Samsung phone, enjoy the fastest reasonably sized handset out there.

Re the info sheet - I haven't credited the images I used/stole, as it was intended just for us, I might just do a text only version if it's going into the twittersphere - but in principle that's fine - glad it's appreciated
If you could remove any details of access that would be great too, including the link wide shot of the lid on here. Haven't seen the sheet so I don't know if any details were included anyway, but its best not to have that stuff in twitterland for a variety of reasons.
I realise I'm starting to sound like a boring internet dad on this, but so you know, if I was on the ride I would have happily taken a couple of people actually inside the main chamber for some light painting shots as you'd already lifted a lid. Saying that, Sunday afternoon is normally a heavy use time for any CSO so it wouldn't have been that pleasant.

geoff, londonssensiblecyclingforum is thataway>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
but good points. david didn't go far in on the spur of the moment, and there were people on the surface. never go underground without planning and care and even more so wehre's there's a fetid river of piss, shit, bog roll and fanny plasters with a tidal outflow whilst wearing sidis.
ftfy ;-)

Gutted I missed this one, it looks like a good day out. Just out of interest who popped the lid and did they Jedi finger-pop it?
As you now know how to get in, if anyone ever wants to explore the Fleet, or any other drain, please make sure you go with someone who's done this kind of thing before. Access is easy, but once you're down there things can change quickly and lids don't open that easily from below.

I have no idea what that even means dude... Gripped? Caught? Im not loud... I promise
It usually involves men in uniform waving their truncheons.
Connaught tunnel is still accessible but as has been said, not very legal. Although it never was strictly legal to go in there at any time. If you're adventurous enough its worth a look, just bring a bloody good torch.

Right end of town, connaught rail tunnel, its in an almost lawless part of town where 50+ riders will not be noticed doing anything frankly.
Have you seen the list? Chainbreaker alone would get you gripped. The Westbourne would do nicely as its just about deep enough, although getting anything other than a brompton down would be an issue. Not too bad an area to park your bikes up though.

Funny my gut instinct was to stay the fck away from Samsung. I've never been impressed by anything I've owned/used of theirs but I'll take on users experiences.
I was the same but went for it when T Mob fucked me over on a faulty Desire S. I can't recommend the sgs2 highly enough, although I would also recommend getting rid of all the operator guff by flashing a streamlined custom rom. That's probably more down to my hatred of the operator rather than reaching the limits of the phones performance though.
Tell Vodafone you're leaving them and see what deal the retention section can do for you. I complained about my treatment by T Mob and I got the sgs2 on an 18 month unlimited everything plan for just over £20 a month. It can go wrong however, and leave you searching for a new deal altogether.

Using this now, how you finding the battery? Seems pretty terrible so far
I'm on 6.1 now but I never had any issues with battery life, in fact I'd say it was excellent as I can get up to 3 days if I don't nail it. Have you removed the battery since rebooting? That cured my phone not going into deep sleep after loading 5.0. If you haven't already done so, install cpu spy to see if your phone goes into deep sleep or not.

Things to tell the grandkiddies my friend. Your granddad was part of the reason we came through the war as a free country. I salute his efforts and his memory.
I never actually met him as he was long gone by the time I was born but my dad used to talk about him a lot. Half of that was about all the test pilots who used to stay with them and the non rationed food they used to get during the war as a result.
As I followed both my grandad and dad into engineering, I was given my granddads Rolls Royce Aerospace tool kit as a graduation present. Its locked up well away from any danger and is probably my most treasured possession.

There's an old film of 'the flying bedstead' knocking around showing early tests for vertical take off systems. My granddad is one of the engineers in the hangar. My dad was so proud when he saw it by accident on Discovery as he'd never seen anything of what he did as this was cutting edge research at the time. Unfortunately he died before anything ever became operational from the project.
Sadly, I have nothing further to add to this thread as the Vulcan has already been posted.

Anyone had any joy putting an ICS rom on their SGS2? Thinking of taking the plunge this evening.
Yes. AndyX rom is working wonderfully for me. He's been booted off xda though as he used a shite uploader. I've been running his 5.2 rom for a couple of weeks with no problems at all. I haven't tried his 6.0 as some users said 5.2 was the best. Use CF root for your phone if you haven't already and remove your battery for 5 minutes after rebooting with the rom installed to force close some processes you can't otherwise get to.
If you struggle downloading the zip file let me know and I'll try to send it to you.

Here's a great site of some cheeky buggers sneaking into the old Mail Rail and exploring it all, taking loads of photos.
What say the 50 of us sneak in for a ride?
x
There's an Alias on here who I'm pretty sure went down there whilst access was available. Wish I was around for this one but sadly I'm away.
Hope you have a lovely ride.
Check Menu>Settings>About Phone. If the android version is 4.xx then you have ICS. Otherwise it will be on 2.3 which is Gingerbread.
