Yeah Tim Maund is still making them in Southampton. I have had a few 50's frames but always wanted my own made to measure so i took the plunge.
Crank wise, im not sure. I have a lightly used set of DA 7710's I was thinking of using. I'd really like to get some DA 7700 high flange hubs laced to some Araya Gold rims so thought the 7710 cranks would match nicely.

Hi all, I have picked up a rather nice GB kromo underslung track stem that I intend to restore. The only problem is the expander bolt its pretty gnarled from years of use. The expander its self is fine but the head of the bolt is nearly round. Does anyone have one in good condition? Or know where i can get one?
The head is 7/20
its 7" long
26tpi
and i believe the thread is 9/32 in width.
It looks like this: http://www.classicrendezvous.com/images/British/GB/stems/531underslung_HS.jpg
Thanks

Pretty much finished this and very happy with it, new seat post and headset (thank you re-cycled) fitted over the weekend, very smooth. Still unsure if i should drill the fork to accept a recessed nut as at the moment im just using the back brake bodge. Also unsure how long im going to be able to handle the champion sprinter, narrow is an understatement.

I know i dont get it either.
Total Cycling only have it in black which would be a bit of a fail with the rest of the bike. I am currently in the process of getting hold of BLB to see what they say.
Unfortunately Aspirevelotech are out of stock of both the gripnut and 2nut in silver and wont be getting any in for some weeks they say. That time added to the time it's going to take to get from america = A very long wait. might be the only option though, that or deciding on another headset.
Thanks for you continued help though, much appreciated.

Thanks for all the suggestions, unfortunately still no luck. Contacted BC they dont have any, spoke to a couple of my LBS and they said that their suppliers dont have any and probably wont be getting any. Can't find any interent sites that have any in stock. Am i missing something? Chris King boycot of the UK? or are they just slowly stoping the production of threaded headsets?

I managed to track down a GB Kromo underslung track stem in the states. The underslung verity are extremely hard to find. It has been re plated here with non original bolts. This is the only vintage part I intend to use on the build. I was hoping it would give a nice nod to Rotrax's herritage as the rest of the bike is likely to be clad in NJS stamps.
