If you plan to exercise both your pre-emption rights and then top-up your investment in the public round on Thursday, I suggest you make a bank transfer (rather than a GoCardless payment) now to cover at least your pre-emption amount. Whilst it's possible to have two pending deposits of money, an investor can only have one pending unfunded investment at any time.
This would have been useful information to know before the pre-emption rights round was opened. It remains a fact that an existing investor who wasn't aware of this may not get their bank transfer cleared into their Seedrs account before the public round sells out.
I would guess that on most fundings it doesn't matter as it takes weeks or months to fill the share allocation. But here....
I specifically asked above if it was OK to invest and then move the funds and was reassured that it wasn't an issue. The Seedrs emails regarding the pre-emption process also failed to highlight this potential issue, So currently I'm not impressed with the situation and feel that Seedrs need to think more closely about this process.
-
Are you sure? I have two pending deposits - one from yesterday and one from today.
This concerns me. In the first funding round Seedrs had issues around receiving and allocating the money efficiently. They allow 48 hours for the funds to be added - but there is only 48 hours before it goes live to the public and they note that it can take 2 or three days for the funds to arrive.
It sounds to me as though this rule about only allowing one investment while waiting for the funds to arrive could block some existing investors from accessing the public round.

how could ANYONE think that was a good idea and wouldn't get in the press ? It worries me even more that people with this level of intelligence have this level of power.
Perhaps you should be more worried by the fact that this was likely a deliberate act, with the full knowledge that it would get in the press being a major part of the decision.

If the riders start at 1 minute intervals;
your time = (time you finished on the time keepers watch) - (your number)Thanks. The above would confirm the timekeepers time, but it's way off (faster) than what I was reading on my computer as I was approaching the finish and both Strava segments are in line with the computer.
Oh well. I'm still ridiculously slow, so when I can figure out why that is, maybe I can set a new and real PB.

J1) Do not try and send donations direct to the bank account. We might lose it, I'm not sure what happens if you send money to an account being closed.
They should bounce the payment back. However my experience is that the receiving bank allocates it to a suspense account. Once there it is very difficult if not impossible to get it back out again as the banks just blame each other. I suspect that they make a lot of money this way.

https://www.relakks.com/?lang=eng
That's who I use.
I don't use it on my phone, because of phone latency issues.
But I do use it for all home communications (except for SSH which is already encrypted).
My experience shows a few of issues. I can't get connection to them from my girlfriends house (Virgin broadband) but fine from home (BT), you can't access the UK TV services and at least one forum has banned their IP address.
There are probably ways around the above but I have no idea what they would be...

You might wish to emphasise that possessing child porn is already illegal
This has never yet stopped any of the Governments from pushing through legislation that will get them media soundbites and approval from the uniformed public. It didn't stop samurai swords or violent pornographic images being banned to use two recent examples despite the fact that there was existing legislation that was already more than effective.

Remote controlled sluice gates can organise the flow of water towards different needs, whether agriculture or flushing pollutants and sediments down towards the sea.
As a result, the pollution levels have fallen dramatically
I'm not convinced that flushing pollutants out to sea counts as a method of pollutant control.

I still have no idea why I thought adding Newlands Corner and Box Hill on fixed into this mornings commute was a good idea.
But the view from the top of both was nice with the morning mist in the valleys below. Falling off on the top of Box Hill while clipped in did amuse me though.
