Thats shit it got stolen the night before!
Hope the forum will help you out, and welcome xThanks! Tell me about it - 5 years, several bikes and never ONE problem. I leave my flat for 3 hours and return home at 5am and the thing was gone. At first I thought my buddies threw it on the roof again since we were smash-faced for my going away party. I checked craigslist for a few months, but I assume it was a bum or crackie looking for some cash. Lamesauce.

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to introduce myself new to the forum. I will be converting an older peugeot to fixed. I lived in LA 5 years riding and my bike got stolen literally the night before I moved to Paris. I am now in Paris and either it's my lack of French, or I am simply not looking in the right places, but I can not for the life of me find cheap, used parts. I figured I would mingle with you guys here looking for help. Luckily, a friend's grandfather here hooked me up with the bike free. I need some parts, but will put that in the wanted section.
Cheers!
Trust me, I already feel the same... I picked Paris over London because after running numbers, I just could not afford it as much as I would rather be in London... but - it's never too late. Seems easy than France, too as far as immigration. My visa situation here is such a pain in the ass.
Any recommendations on living in London cheap... I am open to the idea. I freelance so nothing really is keeping me any specifically.
Thanks!
