Finish in terms of what? Paint? Components? Build?
From what I can remember the crankset, chain and hubs looked crap. I can't remember much else other than it was obviously thrown together any old way by the shop and my mate didn't know any better. This was 2011 actually so they might have made changes possibly. Have I just nullified my own point?

even less!
My GF had one of these, I've moved the parts onto a better frame since.
heavy frame, but parts are acceptable, sealed hubs and bottom bracket, decent cranks.
For £200, you could replace the tyres for something better.
A mate from college bought one of these, I found the finish to be quite poor. I wasn't expecting anything very good though so if you have low standards then I suppose it would be fine. That's not a dig at anyone by the way.
At the end of the day, you pay for what you get and that really applies with bicycles. If I were you I would trawl the classifieds on here, gumtree, ebay etc. you should be able to find a nice and respectable steel conversion for 200 odd.

Having a ratty bike isn't about posting pictures of it on the internet and thinking it looks cool. its about making it look shit enough that nobody will nick it whilst it still rides as well as ever.
.direct hit. every one of my bikes has looked totally abused, scratched, well weathered etc. but set up meticulously. i love getting the first scratch/ nick on a new frame/fork, as then i can stop worrying about it. like Steve Peat upon receipt of every new custom painted Troy Lee lid, the first thing he'd do is pick it up and drop it on the floor from a few feet.
building up the PX stealth pro carbon i just got will be my first endeavor into building a proper "sunday best". I have a feeling it's going to go in favor of a battle scarred, keirin framed road warrior though. i don't think i'm ready for a "nice" bike just yet, in the traditional sense anyway.
You should be aware that he's a grown man(possibly partially educated) so your advice really does go with out saying.
I have mild tinnitus(can hear it at night going to bed and in quiet situations when I make myself conscious of it), disappointing/ annoying considering my age but hey, another thing to add to my growing list of ailments. There's a lecturer in the School of Media in the college I'm in who wanders around in headphones the whole time to detract from his severe tinnitus. Bad times.
I wonder what smoking a doob would do for it Eightball?
