Got my frame back from Armourtex last week, have to say was very happy with the advice and service.
The only downside is that the palette of RAL colours seems fairly limited compared to the options you have when wet spraying.
Thought the turnaround was super quick too, two days, bam.
Word of warning though—I get the impression that the coat can be a bit fresh when they give it back to you. I was ripping off the bubble wrap (with scissors, I am an idiot) and I nicked the a coat slightly leaving a minor scratch, but no biggie.
Anyway, here she is: RAL 6027 with a clear lacquer.

That is bootiful!

Morning All,
Joined here about a year ago, have just moved south (to Chelmsford) and I'm going to be building my first fixed gear soon (sounds like a FisherPrice toy?!).
Anyway, I've just picked up a cheap Peugeot frame on eBay (after my last got wrecked by a car), so hopefully I should have something to show for my efforts soon!
Anyone else near Chelmsford/Essex?
Ciao! Ben

Heey,
So I just got my new bike-

Going to change a few things (get rid of that camo tape for a start) and perhaps convert it to a single speed? Though not sure yet if I should get another bike [still dreaming of Peugeots] to convert....

Hey,,,,
Just found this sub-forum thing. Also in Leeds, but not got my single speed sorted yet. Soon though, I hope!
Anyway, this is the bike I currently have.

Hey! I'm another newbie. I moved to London a month ago from Brighton and I am in dire need of a nice single speed. I'm pretty small (5'4/5'5) and I have a limited budget but if anyone wants to help me out, or would be into helping me build something that won't cost the earth to begin with I'd be incredibly grateful. This is me and my (i.e my housemates) cat:
Hey, I feel your pains of a tight budget. I'm not sure what route to go down for my next bike, and I'm not too sure of the benefits of a single speed. Hopefully shall get something sorted pretty soonish anyway, so fingers crossed.
And Lil, it seems eBay is crowded with Peugeots but they are all in Essex!

I'm working on my first fixed gear, old peugoet frame. Not too keen on colour so thinking of a respray somewhere.
Now I have an old clapped out Pug that suffered damage to the frame after a crash, Aside from that, all the other parts are salvageable, so I'm going to save costs there by using those existing parts. [good/bad idea?] with some new shiny bits where feasible. (nice new saddle, per say).
I think the big challenge I have (from having a bit of a read around) will be around the rear wheel, and perhaps the funny sizes of the Peugeot frames. I'm hoping sizes won't differ between the two pug frames I have, otherwise may be a more costly excercise than hoped...!
