Thought all my questions would be answered in this thread but alas nothing but a bare cupboard. Surely someone somewhere must no a bit more about the show. Any clips online? I tried searching on youtube but nothing.

Agreed, most of the year it's pretty bad but with most things you get used to it. I don't cycle massive distances but you can definitely tell when the air is really bad. In terms of navigating Beijing is really easy to get around. Most of the road signs say which direction the street is going N, S, E or W and you if you get really lost you can always head one direction and keep going until you hit a ring road. Autumn is my favourite time of the year sunny everyday around 20 - 25C not too humid and perfect for a nice ride.

Yep very interesting indeed. I live in Beijing and know Ines well. Its such a shame that a city that was so famous for its bicycles has become a place where its becoming more and more frustrating to ride. There are however positive signs. Just recently the government has announced changes to try and increase cycling within the city. Just how much effort they will put into it remains to be seen as the auto industry is big business here in fact its just become the biggest market in the world for cars.

I'm not sure how you can say they are a shite club. The only team to break the top four in recent seasons and have consistently been the best of the rest of the premiership over the past few years and all of that has been done on a shoestring budget. It's still a proper football club with proper fans most of whom live in the city. You can get tea and homemade cake inside the stadium for less than a couple of quid, not so sure you can say that about many other stadiums in the Premiership. The fans know their football and are always in good voice both home and away.

Nope a shocker indeed. I have to say might be a bit biased coming from Wales but i think its nip and tuck between Cooke and Burton. Just a side note a nice little touch from Howies who have a little double page spread on Beryl Burton in their summer catalogue.

Nicole Cook is competing in a team event. Hoy and Pendleton for the most part compete in individual events. Peat always competes in individual events.

Nicole Cook will not win the worlds or the Gold at the Olympics until British Cycling produce a team that is strong enough to support her. At present she's in a class of her own and that makes her a natural target for every attack in every race at this level. she then has to cover all the attacks. It gives her no real chance since she's the only one with the strength to chase them all down. The rest of the women's team are just struggling to stay with the pace.

As good as Cooke is she has yet to win either Olympic or (senior) World Championship gold and that's how true greats are recognised in the UK at least.

She is the current World Race Champion and Olympic Chamion! She has also won the UCI World Cup twice, Women's Giro at least once and the Grande Boucle Feminine (women's Tour De France) twice. Nobody from the UK can touch that record.
