I can track stand for well over two minutes, easily, but don't do it at lights because it means I don't focus enough on what's going on around me, and with high gearing it's hard to get in a position where you're not 3mm away from traffic and your pedals are horizontal.
Also, the trike has a freewheel, and TRACKstanding isn't done much on road bikes, is it ? -

As the title states, I'm looking for a 56cm track frame, preferably aluminium, but may consider carbon if it's a good deal. No steel.
The bike will be used on an outdoor track, but also on the road, so drilled carbon forks are preferable.
I have a budget of about £300, maybe a bit more if something nice comes up !
Collection in London can be arranged, or if postage to France is possible, that would be brilliant.
Show me what you've got ! : )
Also, I know I'm not the only one looking for something like this, but you don't get if you don't ask.

FFS
It's a concept. Some people don't put the words "track" "fixed" or "fixie campagnolo cinelli CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP" in their thread titles, so UTFS doesn't always work. It's a way of making finding a track frame much simpler, and being able to separate different categories of bikes/frames/parts. I'm not saying the geared stuff for sale is naff, most of it's beautiful, but on a forum that originally was dedicated to fixed gear bicycles, it's surprisingly hard to find any of them. And before you tell me that the forum has evolved, I know it has. I haven't been here for ages (just over a year), but just from that I can see how much it's changed. I'm not suggesting you go back, make it how it was meant to be, just that you make what it has become easier to navigate. -
Re Classifieds
I'm personally tired of seeing so many geared bikes for sale.
Rather than create a specific geared sub-forum/extra forum or whatever, why not just add an extra prefix ? i.e you keep the "For Sale" "Wanted" etc prefixes, but add a Geared / FGSS / OT prefix, to separate the geared bikes from the track bikes, so somebody looking for a track specific bicycle isn't going to have to trawl through threads selling geared bikes or banjos (Which constitute the majority of Classifieds threads nowadays, it seems).
What do you mean by drops ?
The bits you hold on to, or the little holes you shove the wheels' axles in ?
