Umm, not really, if it was an 80s moser I wouldnt be bothered about converting it, I originally wasnt sure because I thought it might be too much of a hassle.
Now Ive found out its a 70s italian frame of some description, Id like to try and find out a bit more about it before I turn it into fixie, cos Id feel it would be a shame to waste something like that by turening it into a beater fixie when someone else might want to restore it and ride it as it was intended to be ridden.
I realise Im being a complete idiot and not making much sense, sorry -
Its definitely italian, and its definitely late 60s to mid 70s, well thats what HillaryStone has said and hes apparently a bike historian so I reckon he knows what hes on about. Its almost certainly columbus sl tubing, I can tell that just by comparing it to my aelle tubed frame, its noticeably lighter. By all accounts its something decent.
Im still not sure what to do with it though, guess Ill stick with it, but I feel now as if its slightly going to waste by me riding it around as a bit of a beater fixie conversion given that its a bit more vintage and nice than an 80s moser. -

Well the main reason Im in doubt is the whole, hub spacing chain line issues rather than the frame itself.
My budget is limited, but Ive got enough to spend on good parts where it counts. Im building up a set of dp18s on gran compes for the wheels, and will probably be going for a condor sugino chainset. Im just skimping on other less important parts to keep the budget down. I wont be cutting any of the braze-ons, hangers, will keep it gear ready in case I sell it later on.
Thanks for the replies, just needed a bit of reassurance I wasnt on to a lost cause, much appreciated.Since were all aready here, does anyone know what bb I would need? Im guessing it will need to be italian threaded, but the only reasonable italian bb I can find is the Miche primato which is ISO, where as the Suginos Im after would be JIS. Am I just confusing myself here?

Sorry to start yet another "is this bike worth converting" thread, but Im starting to have my doubts about whether the frame Ive got is worth converting or not.
I picked up a moser frame from OrganicOrigin two weeks ago, its a really nice frame and I really like mosers in general. Im just wondering if its worth going fixed with it though, or whether Id be better off trying to sell it on ebay and spending the cash on a decent second hand track frame.
This is my first attempt at going fixed so Id really appreciate some advice/opinions

Has anyone got one of these or seen one in the flesh, I was thinking of getting one and at £25 they look quite nice, just wondering if theyre worth it.
