I was required to get bike register gold membership for the insurance on my mountain bike. It comes with a little rfid chip thingy that you glue on the inside of the seat tube. Its pretty much impossible to take out if youve glued it in properly and you get a little warning sticker to stick on the outside of the frame. If you get your bike nicked and you spot it, call the cops and they can come scan the bike and prove its yours.
Ive no idea how effective it is, like I said I had to buy it for insurance purposes, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

^Should probably say that it was six months of ocassional use, so probably more like 2 months every day use.

The best thing you can do is to make sure you come across as being passionate about what youre doing. Try and be enthusiastic, if you really want the job it shouldnt be too hard and it should come naturally.

Gotta say its nice when people add that personal touch to their service. I custom ordered some keirin grips from him a while back, then a month or so later ordered some more stuff. I know theres a winter gloves and polo gloves thread, but I couldnt find a general gloves thread.

For those of you that ride with gloves, what do you currently use and what have you used in the past?
What do you reccommend and what would you steer clear of?
Perhaps we could start a list?

I currently have some Troy lee XC gloves, had them for a good few years now and been nothing but disappointed. Brake dots (the little traction dots on the index fingers) started to come off after a month, six months in all the threading on the right thumb came undone leaving a gaping hole (not pleasant on cold days!). Granted they have still held up until now, but given the price I was expecting a lot more.

^I dunno, the facebook group already has over 300 confirmed guests, granted thats no indicator of anything, but given that theres people travelling from all over europe I reckon it could get pretty packed.

Yeah, has to be said that Im sceptical about this being Unbroken's last show ever and I agree 20 quid is a bit steep. Considering though that they are one of my all time favourite bands and this is probably the only chance Im ever gonna get to see them, I can deal with it.
I figure the venue will get changed as soon as the first load of tickets get sold out (if they haven't already), no doubt it will end up somewhere a bit bigger

The bars move freely and I doesnt seem like its the cables that are causing them to turn. It just seems like the bars are reluctant to stay centered if I unweight the front end in the slightest then they turn to the left, maybe its just me and Ive just got to get used to it/become more confident.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread a bit, but I have a similar sort of problem. While I wouldnt say that my bike is twitchy, Im terrified off taking my hands of the bar. Can someone just confirm one way or the other, if I hold my bike off the ground and center the bars, should they be able to stay reasonably straight? Mine always turn (sharply I might add) to the left.
Is my headset too tight/loose?

Whered you get the hubs from? If they came without the bolts then either the shop or Goldtec should be able to provide you with a set. Just keep emailing goldtec, from my experience their customer service was very good.
