I've just accepted a job offer and it looks like I could be moving down to London in a months time.
Does anyone know anybody thats looking for housemates or would be interested in a flat share?
My budget is pretty good, I can go up to 800 a month for rent (excl bills) and Im not all that bothered about area although somewhere close to Hoxton square would be practical.
Any help/ideas would be much appreciated -

Gotta say its nice when people add that personal touch to their service. I custom ordered some keirin grips from him a while back, then a month or so later ordered some more stuff. My order came with a note that said thanks for your new order how are those grips working out for you. Always nice to be remembered

I know theres a winter gloves and polo gloves thread, but I couldnt find a general gloves thread.
For those of you that ride with gloves, what do you currently use and what have you used in the past?
What do you reccommend and what would you steer clear of?
Perhaps we could start a list?I currently have some Troy lee XC gloves, had them for a good few years now and been nothing but disappointed. Brake dots (the little traction dots on the index fingers) started to come off after a month, six months in all the threading on the right thumb came undone leaving a gaping hole (not pleasant on cold days!). Granted they have still held up until now, but given the price I was expecting a lot more.

Yeah, has to be said that Im sceptical about this being Unbroken's last show ever and I agree 20 quid is a bit steep. Considering though that they are one of my all time favourite bands and this is probably the only chance Im ever gonna get to see them, I can deal with it.
I figure the venue will get changed as soon as the first load of tickets get sold out (if they haven't already), no doubt it will end up somewhere a bit bigger -

Unbroken are playing a one-off show in London in October, more info here
Got my ticket this morning, anyone going? -
Sorry to hi-jack this thread a bit, but I have a similar sort of problem. While I wouldnt say that my bike is twitchy, Im terrified off taking my hands of the bar. Can someone just confirm one way or the other, if I hold my bike off the ground and center the bars, should they be able to stay reasonably straight? Mine always turn (sharply I might add) to the left.
Is my headset too tight/loose? -

Shit also two great ones I saw on a plane:
ikegami about defined times of death.
And one which may be called note book about a kid who when he writes a name in a book that person dies.Death note is the one about the notebook, based on the manga and anime of the same name.
I have to agree with ga2g as well, the current wave of Korean cinema is really brilliant

How did I not see this thread before!!!!
Anyway heres a few reccommendations:
Everything by Ryuhei kitamura: versus, azumi, aragami and if you liked versus check out death trance cos its pretty much the same film.
Miike wise, I agree very hit and miss but some good ones are Audition, Ichi the killer, Sukiyaki western django and my personal favourite Crows Zero
Survive style 5 (brilliant and it has Vinnie Jones in it!)
Kamikaze girls
Sakuran
CasshernCan I also suggest that anyone who hasnt already seen Infernal affairs and A bittersweet life should go and do so. Those of you in leeds should check out www.eastasiancinema.com
Sorry for the long post, Im a bit of an East Asian film geek.

I was required to get bike register gold membership for the insurance on my mountain bike. It comes with a little rfid chip thingy that you glue on the inside of the seat tube. Its pretty much impossible to take out if youve glued it in properly and you get a little warning sticker to stick on the outside of the frame. If you get your bike nicked and you spot it, call the cops and they can come scan the bike and prove its yours.
Ive no idea how effective it is, like I said I had to buy it for insurance purposes, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
